I cannot believe that was published! : Seriously..."Udderly Icky"?! Thankfully the comments are all pro-breastfeeding. I'm considering writing to the New York Post now...

I can't even dignify that with a response (but good on her for nursing through to 2 years!)

That's terrible! I'm surprised they let that go to print! I'm sure someone will sue them over it!

ugh.

Horrible.

I'm glad to see all the positive comments, however.

Boohoo for NYP, Hooray for Women

I think it's awesome that she was quoted as saying that...they can try to spin it, but the fact is - she's a role model. NYP should have some major letters to the editor written...that's some major sexism and lactovism!

Isn't the Post just a stone's throw away from tabloid trash????

Don't take this seriously-- the NYP isn't a real newspaper. There is no fact checking, no worries about offending anyone. They've said a lot more horrible things than this. The racism alone is enough to make you scream. Owned by the same people as Fox News.

It's not even that far.

nyp is not worth wrapping citarella fish in.

It's not a reputable paper. Still stupid title though.

I have to say I was so happy to see a celeb talking so casually about extended nursing. Yay for her. A lot of people tend to hide extended nursing. I know a lot of people were surprised when I continued to nurse DS after he turned 1. I did use my LLL Leader's line a few times when ppl commented that it has no nutritional value after the baby turns a year old "Oh, no! You mean it turns into Kool-Aid overnight?" People are idiots.

: Totally!!! I lived in NYC for a while and it's totally considered a joke. Also, look at the website - there's a whole section on "Hebrew Hotties" in the celebrity portion - you're not going to find that at the Times or another legit publication.

Please remember that discussing the comments, or discussing posting to the comments, or encouraging others to comment is against the UA. Thanks!

I think the post is owned by the same guy who owns facebook. There was a big virtual nurse in there yesterday. Very synchronistic, no?

The NY Post is barely a step up from the National Enquirer. It's totally tacky trash journalism.
