I love illustrator Zwerger, and I have a couple of books with the most amazing pictures The Gift of the Magi and The Wizard of Oz.

Tell me about your favorite illustrated book for older kids and adults.

Micheal Hague illustrates amazing books. We have The Book of Dragons, The Book of Fairies and Goodnight Fairies. I really would like to get his Peter Pan and collection of Hans Christian Anderson stories.

Probably the Swan Lake trilogy by Mark Helprin, illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg. The other two are called A City in Winter and A Veil of Snows. Amazon says they're for ages 9-12.... they're just lovely books.

Ernest Shepard-illustrated Winnie the Pooh books are a thing of beauty, I think. I also like the Garth Williams illustrations in the Little House books; they aren't hugely illustrated, but the few pictures are very evocative. I think he illustrated the Frances books too.
