Help--Need Labor Vibes

Woke up at 4 AM with regular contractions and called midwife around 6. I have a history of going really fast so I was concerned that she wouldn't have time to get here. She showed up and stayed for a couple hours but I was only at 3 so she left. I took a nap and things picked up. The last time we checked I was at 6 and am 60-70% effaced. This is getting really frustrating. My mom is here for the kids but just her presence annoys me so I am hiding in my room with the lap top hoping for another super huge contraction.

Easy labor vibes Mama!
Is there any way you can get your Mom to take the kids somewhere else? If her presence is bothering you it could be causing your labor to stall.

It will be soon!

Mom would be too happy to take the kids somewhere else but then she'd find a million excuses not to bring them home. I like to have my kids around because they poke their heads in and say super cute stuff that helps me relax. My oldest said, "Wow, my baby sister sure is having a hard time with that wrapping paper isn't she?"

That is too cute! I do hope that her presence doesn't affect your labor too much. Maybe you could go out and take a walk? Sending easy labor vibes to you!

Sending super duper labor vibes your way.....

So many things can stall or block the progression of our labors....If you can't have your mother take your children out for awhile, any chance you can go outside for a walk?

Can't wait to read your story.

Best wishes!

It looks today is not the day. Everything pretty much stopped so midwife went home. Mom took the older kids out and DH is napping with the 2 yo. I feel so alone and disappointed.

Aww, it'll happen. Maybe she is just in a crummy position, and working to get into a better one for showtime.

Take this time to relax mama, rest up because it could come back full force very soon!
