Winter Juno Lucine was born peacefully on Monday 12-22-08 at 9:53pm. She weighed 8 lbs 7 oz (our smallest!), is 20.75 inches long, and is a very sweet baby.
I hope to write her birth story soon, but wanted to tell you all that I had a BEAUTIFUL C-section. I can't believe I'm writing this, but it was a peaceful, respectful, gentle birth. After having 2 HBAC's, it was not at all what I wanted, but was what Winnie needed. There was not one minute that she was separated from me - I was holding her in the OR while the doctors were still working on me, she nursed immediately in recovery and never left my room.
We checked out early and are happy to be home. Thank you all for your support and sharing during our pregnancies. I'm looking forward to catching up with reading the stories I've missed over the last few days. I hope you're all doing well -
