I'm Chessa, SAHM to Silas T., who is 2 1/2. I got into reading about AP when I was pregnant and my interest in it has continued to evolve. We're now sort of aimed in the direction of radical unschooling, which I think has a lot of the same characteristics of AP, just taking it more explicitly beyond the infant/toddler stage. I've heard mixed reviews of this book, so I'm very curious to see what all the fuss is about. We purchased it (along with a stack of other parenting/unschooling books) with some holiday money - we're total book-a-holics here! I live in Seattle and my partner works in community college administration - I trained as a librarian, but graduated grad school when I was 8 months pregnant so never really got to be an *official* librarian.
Personally I think a chapter by chapter approach makes the most sense - do we want to do a chapter a week? More? Less? I'm pretty open, and a pretty quick reader (my dude still naps!), so I can go either way.
Looking forward to the discussion!
