We went to my Ils for Christmas part 2 today. In Ds' stocking were 3 packages of star wars figures.
MIL, "whispered" to me that she got them b/c he loves playing with them (old ones form the 70's when DH and their uncle were little) when they come over.
But you know what really stinks? she didn't give DD one package of Star wars figures and DD is really the one who plays with them. DS puts them in a car and pushes the car around but he is really into the car part...DD loves the figures and plays with them as people.
I could see DD waiting to open each package hoping ti had a similair toy but not one single figure for her.
DS didn't even care about them and luckily he shares pretty well so he immediately gave them to DD to play with (he had a truck to spin around)
Also at dinner DH asked his brother if he wanted to go with him and the kids to a monster truck show and my MIL told DD that girls don't like monster trucks. She said only girls who are "toughies" like monster trucks. she did not "toughies" as though it could possible be a compliment.
I did pipe right up and say, "what is grammy crazy/...we love monster trucks!"
So unfair!!!
