baby slips?

I am crocheting a Solomon's knot dress, and its a very airy pattern, I am guessing the baby would have to have on a slip underneath.

Where do you buy baby slips? I have never ever seen them. I can't buy online because we don't use credit cards at all (its the only way we can stay debt free).

Is there a store you have ever seen a baby slip at?

Honestly, I'd just have her wear a onesie under it, if you're thinking of a summery thing. You might be able to find something at a department store...the only place I've actually seen slip-like dresses was the Navy Exchange, which probably isn't helpful. Find someplace that sells Carter's stuff, or check thrift stores. Sometimes they have very fine dresses that would be suitable.

What if you made one yourself? You could pick up a bit of fabric for it and then just do a gathered skirt-style in that length you need. (if you have some flimsy thin linen white curtains that you hate, that would be a great repurposing for them)

Hanna Andersson has a cute cotton baby "slip", but not tiny baby sized.

it is cute though!

If I could sew worth a darn I would so make a bunch of them and give them away with my dresses. but I am seriously lacking in that area.

Maybe I need to learn...

thanks for the help! :

I've seen them in department stores near easter, I don't know otherwise.

if you have a Strasburg Children near you, they have them. You can also call the store closest to you and have one shipped.

they would be really easy to sew, though. Only a few seams, armholes/neckhole and hem!
