Winter headband

Hey, what was that headbandy/earwarmer thing that was popular here a year or 2 ago? For a while, everyone was making them. Not the one with the button, the one that's kirchner'ed together at the back. Wider in front, narrow in back, bumpy stripes going ear to ear.

I made one forever ago, and lost it. DD found it the other day, but it looks like some moths did too. She wants me to make her one, but I can't figure out what the heck it's called, so I can't search for the pattern. Thanks!

I bet you mean the panta! I knitted a few whatever year they were big, but the photos are on my other computer...but you could google if that's the one you mean.

Yep, I bet it was the panta! I made a bunch of those a couple of years ago when they were all the mdc rage!

That's a weird one... the original was on craftster, IIRC...

ETA: Found the original MDC panta thread and also my photo of Rain in a panta, although its not really close-up so it's hard to see...

Panta! That's it! I remember thinking of the soda commertial every time I looked at it. ("Fanta, Fanta, don't you wanta...." ) Thanks!

I killed the neverending thread! D'oh! 7 pages and 8 months of panta, and mine is the last post! How funny that I should start up another thread about it!

Wait, what's the difference between them? The ribs don't split on the panta?

The ribs go the other way on the caliometry, and it has a button...
