RV hose for birth pool?

Thread Starter
I couldnt find an aquarium hose locally but I was able to find a RV hose at Home Depot. It is 25 feet. I also have the fill and drain Python pump that attaches to the faucet.

Has anyone used an RV hose to fill and drain their Birth pool? I am concerned about the syphon working properly. But the hose is only 5 feet longer than the aquarium hose I would need.

Is it safe, IE led free?

I bought an RV hose. Just make sure it's labeled for drinking water and you should be fine.

We id this too, it worked great.

The white RV hoses are exactly the sort we use for births, because they aren't lined with chemicals.

I would think that a RV hose marked "for potable water use" would be much safer than say an aquarium hose as it has to meet federal drinking water standards in terms of contaminents/heavy metals in the tubing.

Yes, we used an RV hose "for potable water" for filling our tub. They're white.
