When did your lo stop nursing at night? - Page 2

hasn't yet......I keep talking about nightweaning him but never really "get around to it"....mostly 'cause I can't see a way for it to work w/out a lot of tears & frustration and I don't really want that (as much as I do really want sleep!!!)

He's slept 2x ever "through the night" from about from 1030 or 1130 to 430am....and both times, I was up and wide awake w/ tons of energy after he ate at 4:30 w/ nothing to do with myself, LOL. I SOOO wish he would make a habit of that.

Kids are so different.

We actively nightweaned my dd#1 at around 2 and she went from waking really frequently at night to basically sleeping through.

Dd#2 is now over 4 and still nursing at night, sometimes quite a lot. Occasionally she sleeps through, but typically she does not, nursing 2-4 times. At some point (3?) we tried limiting night nursing but it just backfired...she was just awake and not nursing and mad, which didn't help any of us. So we kept on nursing at night. Now that she is approaching 4-1/2, my mama-instinct is that she's ready to spend some nights sleeping with daddy so that I can get some sleep. But honestly, she's really just ready now.

Pay most attention to what feels right for your babe and family and ignore the rest!
