6 weeks old...6 month old clothing

I have a major chunker here and loving every inch of this fella. I can not believe that he can easily wear 6-9 month clothing. He has some 3-6 that fits well, but I really wonder how much longer. Not sure how much he weighs. 2 weeks ago he was about 13lbs. (10lbs at birth) He has 4 "rings" on each of his arms from the rolls. When people ask his age, they can not believe he is 6 weeks old. He nurses maybe twice a night and takes a long(3-4 hour) afternoon nap, so he is not at breast all the time. And he is an efficient nurser too, 10-15 minutes tops. No concerns, just wanted to share.

Ah, I always wanted a fatty baby. K was never fat until he got on the reflux meds at 4 months, and Nora's getting there, but nothing like Anders is doing!

Saw your post off the main page - I have one like that too! DD was 8 lbs. 7 oz at birth and 20 lbs by 4 months. She is now almost 6 months (in a week or so) and is in 24m-2T clothing! I don't know how much she weighs - but she is really tall too. We did get a talk at the 4 month appt. warning us that if she kept gaining like that then we would have a talk at the 6 month appt (grr! what do they want me to do? put her on a diet??). She is also a very efficient eater, I don't think at her longest she ever nursed more than 15 minutes, and she is down to a couple minutes now. Just wanted to warn you, they say they slow down, but she hasn't yet! I finally gave up on washing clothes and just took the tags off as we wore them - she only needs a couple of outfits until she hits the next size lol! Congrats on your chunkamonk!

Oh, Anders sounds wonderful!!!

Charlie is a chunk, too. By his growth curve, had he been born on time, he would have been a 10 lber. He's spent every free minute catching up. 7 pounds even as a 35 weeker, he's now nearly 13 pounds. But then he's sort of short for the weight on the clothes, so 3-6 months fit great. Even his newborn pram suit fits still.

It's wonderful having a baby so obviously healthy !!

Same here, not sure how much she weighs, but Amelia was 8lb8oz at birth, she'll be six weeks in a few days, and she has been in 6-9 for almost a week. I've never had one like this, I'm still getting gifts of 3 mnth clothing, too bad for that, but its so cool to see her chunking out.

Yep! Every day I comment on how big Eve is! She was 9lbs at birth and is now 9 weeks old and probably 14 pounds. She was 13 lbs at about 7 weeks old. She can barely wear 3-6 month clothes -- really the 6-9 month clothes are way better. I don't think either of my others were this big this young. She is so long and lanky, though, she really isn't that chunky!

My first was a big boy and 21lbs at 4 months.
Carlos my beat him, we'll see. He was 10 lbs even at birth and now, at 2.5 weeks he is at least 11 lbs I'm sure. At his 1 week appt he had gained 7 oz. from his birth weight and since I'm sure he lost an oz or 2 after that he had to have gained at least 1/2 a pound in that first week. He's porking up quite nicely. I do love having a big baby

Oh, I forgot to mention, that I haven't even started cd'ing yet. It will probably bump him up another size.

Donavan is will be 6 weeks next week and is lining up to start the 6-9 month clothing as well. He's still in Infant pfs but is about to start the medium size BSWW covers. My OS Wonderwraps are a blessing right now.

Donavan's a chunk, but a pretty solid chunk...no where near the fluff your Anders has. DD was a fluffy baby like Anders...enjoy those cute little fat rolls.

I love chubby babies!
Mine wasn't even 7 lbs at birth and is almost 14 lbs now at 9 weeks. I've had to put away all the clothes smaller than 6 months, which made me a little sad because some of those cute outfits never got worn!

Leah is quite a chub, too. I love it

She's at least 12.5 lbs now (6 weeks), but still fits nicely in some 0-3 month stuff. She's still in her newborn cds, too... Those chubba baby rolls are soooo yummy!

Popping in from Sept, Desmond weighs 16 pounds and has been in 6-9 month clothes for about a month now, and he will probably be in 9-12 soon. He's got the cutest double chin, I love to kiss it His thighs are soo cubby. Ds1 was a thin baby compared to Des. I love love love chubby babies

we have a mr.sausage arms here too! starting off at 11 pounds gave him quite the start, he fit 0-3 for 3 weeks amazingly but also 3-6 with a little room, now he wears mostly 6-9 at 5 weeks old, they have a little room and he can still squeeze into the 3-6. 3 of my 5 kiddos have been 10+ pounders, they averaged out after 1 year it seemed. Hudson also sleeps 4 hour chunks at night and is a champion nurser, he takes a long nap during the day usually too, but he fusses his fare share too, can't wait for him to outgrow that! Im sooo glad he is a chunk though, because his 8 yo sisters lug him around all day and he just gets maulled by sibliings 24/7, he had to be sturdy to withstand it!

Holy cow! I thought Spencer was chunky...but I guess not! He's 8 wks old and probably 14lbs (8.3 at birth) and in 3-6 clothing or 6-9 sleepers (he's loooooong). Wow!!

Hi there. I only posted a couple times while pregnant. Annabelle was 10 lbs. at birth and now at almost 6 weeks is probably close to 13 pounds. She is wearing size 3-6 months. She is chubby but tall, too.

ETA: He wore a 12-18 mo shirt today, too!

I weighed Anders this morning with a onesie and a fresh sposie and he was 16 lbs. I almost fell over!
Holy moly! 16 lbs and he's 7 weeks?

Wow, I thought Jasper was a chunk. Born at 7lbs 10oz, and he was 12lbs 8oz at his 2mth appt on Monday, and 23.25 inches. He's in mostly 3-6mth clothes, too long for his 0-3mth sleepers, and in infant prefolds. Adrian didn't hit 12lbs until he was close to 4mths old, so having a chubster is new for me! Amazing how much fluff and gunk accumulates in those rolls!

Isn't it funny how different sized clothes can fit babies with the same weight? A lot of the 3 month old stuff is still fitting, even though Charlie weighed 14 lbs the other day. I was shocked, I thought he was about 12 lbs!

However, the infant prefolds are nearly too small. I'm having to really STRETCH that Snappi to get them to work. But the standards seem so much more bulky...I'm not ready to switch over. Luckily, we have some fitteds (don't work too well under the BSWW and other PUL covers) and contours, too. So it's a mix and match. Do I use a contour with a PUL, or a fitted with wool...
