best carrier for dad with carpal tunnel problems?

Hi - we're looking for your recommendations for a great sling or other carrier for my son's dad to use to take the strain off his carpal tunnel troubles... and, I'm obviously motivated to get him the best solution possible, since every minute that dad carries baby is another minute for me!

He (5'6, 150 pounds) carries our wiggly 20 pound one year old for household chores, outdoor walks, and walking to sleep and the ergo works great for these planned activities, but not so good for quick on and off for just getting down the hall, getting baby's food ready etc.

He would ideally like something that he would just wear around the house as a matter of course so he's always ready to pop the baby in for those quick tasks. Manly appearance is not a factor, since both my guys looks great in pink.

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

How about a stretchy pouch or a MT? We have a Kozy MT and my DH will just loosen the top straps to take the baby in and out. You don't have to take it all the way off. It's really cute because we'll be on an outing and he wears the MT the whole day and is so proud. Babywearing Daddy's are so handsome, don't you think?

I would vote for a Scootababy hip carrier. It's one of my dh's faves (the other being the Ergo). It buckles around the hips like the Ergo and the shoulder strap just goes over baby's head and the wearer's. Totally easy and comfy to adjust, and super-quick to get on and off.

I have CT issues and for really quick on-off I prefer the ring sling. It's great.
