Fox and Friends coverage of the Facebook Nurse-In

My mom alerted me to this which was on this AM. I don't get the guy at the end who says "if the baby is on one breast it means the other is completely exposed. Clearly not someone who has a whole lot of experience with breastfeeding...
Anyways it was mostly positive I thought

Do you have to download something to hear the sound? I can't hear for some reason, maybe I am doing something wrong?

Okay, figured it out!

"if the baby is on one breast it means the other is completely exposed"??? WTF?! That's insane that someone would know so little as to think that....didn't the guy watch any of the footage from the nurse-in before he went on TV talking about it? Wow.

DAMN! Is that how you are supposed to do it? I've been doing it wrong ALL THIS TIME!

(end of sarcasm)

I have to say that I'm pretty impressed by the first guy and the woman's comments. Is this seriously fox????

the one was an idiot

This whole thing made me laugh. All three commentators are so serious, and speak with such "authority" on the matter. It is laughable. I mean, the woman, OK, she has breasts, so that is some qualification to speak on the subject, and judging from the "other guy's" responses, he may have seen his dw or others BF. But the "both breasts are exposed" guy?! How much you wanna bet this guy has NEVER seen anyone BF? So why's he's yapping about it like he is an expert?

And the whole National Geographic discussion? Puh-lease. Like a kid has to get National Geographic to see breasts? Kid never been to the beach? Seen a Victoria's Secret ad? I hate that faux-puritanism.

Wow those anchors are idiots. Even when defending breastfeeding, they sound pretty stupid. Clearly reading teleprompters is their thing, not intelligent commentary!

Fox Radio was very supportive. "Fox Across America" podcast is here: http://foxnews.vo.llnwd.net/kip0/_px...1.mp3?13598302

That was beyond awesome!!!
He is an awesome lactivist! I'm guessing he was breast fed by his lactivist mama or his wife breast fed. ::::

While typing this he just said his wife breast fed, so that answers that. Way to go!

The producer told me he has a slew of breastfed kids. The host's position on the matter was very clear and saw the Facebook issue as a symptom of a larger cultural problem. Also those who called in seemed to me to be screened out so even those uncomfortable with public breastfeeding were not of the "that is so gross" variety.

I'm listening to this right now and I just want to hug him. I think the "opinionated male" perspective is kind of refreshing given he's totally a lactivist. I love it.
