Unclogging a Sink

Any good ideas for how to gently unclog our bathroom sink? I think it's hair and other gunk in there, and the fumes from Drano about make me faint. Anything natural that would work?

did you try vinegar? or a pot of boiling water?

I really don't know, but need to do the same thing. One of the sinks in my kids bathroom is not draining right. I'm guessing toilet paper or a wad of toothpaste... or who knows what!

We got a great product that looks like a white stick (flexible) with teeth on it. You put it in the drain and pull up really gross stuff! My sink in the bathroom has never worked well and It is working with only one nasty removal. My MIL bought one for home and she actually read the back of the product, apparently it is a single use item . I just cleaned it off and put it back in the sleeve that it came in. I looked to see if I could find the link but I was not able to find the name. I got it in Walmart for $2.44, MIL got hers at Home Depot for 2.94, which is still a bargin. Look in the plumbing section good luck

Oh man, that stick sounds really gross but I'll bet it does work really well. Sounds like a job for the ol' husband...

painefaria - Was it a Zip-It?

I have one in each bathroom & love them. I have long hair & need to de-hair my drains a few times a year.
