Testing one two three...

Okay...it's not perfect but the keys are all working. Space bar isa little sticky but not quite as bad as before.

I just cleaned it with water. It'll need cleaned for real soon -- but as for now, this will do.

Rubbing alcohol is all I ever use, so I'd just suggest getting some when you can, popping the keys off, and going through it with some on a q-tip.

got alcohol last night, took the keys off, and cleaned it ... it looks great, and none of the keys are stuck anymore

however, it's not working ....if you hit any key, it repeats that letter a million times. impossible to type...i'm using the onscreen keyboard and will probably hae to get a new one

My keyboard was acting all weid not too long ago, dirt and grime all in it. I popped the keys off, washed them in just water and dishsoap, set them aside to dry. I cleaned the keyboard itself with the corner of the rag dipped in some water and dishsoap, let it dry then assembled everything back together. Next time I will bring up a screen that shows the letter positions though before I take everything apart because it took me a while to figure out where all the letters went.

We ended up buying a new one... and hopefully no one will spill anything in it! Thanks!

Techies have a name for when this happens - it's a "Pepsi Error". LOL. At least your loss was just a keyboard, not a whole laptop!

Most keyboards can be run through the dishwasher (no soap, top rack) just fine. You have to let it dry completely before plugging it in, but it's easier and greener than buying a new one!
