I talked to a lactation consultant who told me that some women just aren't able to conceive when nursing, even if it's once a day. I guess (I hope) I'm one of them and it's not something else. The first time I got pregnant we weren't even trying, we just stopped using birth control.

My first 2 cycles back were heavier than before but then things went back to the way they always had been... same heaviness/lightness and same # of days in a cycle.

:
. What worked was CHARTING, actually realizing that I used to have irregular periods before nursing and probably this was the case now as well. So after a 27-day, a 35-day and a 55-day cycle, we made it.
