cotton silk aran? and How much would you pay for it? I'm just beginning on my knitting journey and I found some of this on sale at my LYS. I'm wondering how good of a deal I got and what I could do with it. Thanks!

Oooh. I'd probably go to ÂŁ12/100g, and would knit something for myself with it.

Sweet! I got 50 g. The calculator I used said 6 pounds would be $8.75. I paid $2; so that's awesome. Maybe I'll go back and get the rest. Right now I'm knitting a dishrag with it
but at that price it doesn't seem so bad. I had NO clue what else it could be.

Oh if they have lots of it and the color is flattering- how about this? http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInf...ductid=SDS-031
I think you could probably make gauge and it would definitely be more casual and wearable that the all silk one..... I love my Sahara (I did a casual one out of Elann tweedy silk).

When I searched Ravelry for cotton silk yarn, most of the projects I saw were sweaters/cardigans, but there were also lots of hats, too.
A quicker knit would be wristlets, like Fetching or Auntie Mitts.
A Swingy Shruglette might be nice, too - scroll to the bottom for the free pattern, or here's the Rav linky.
Let us know what you do with it, and post pics! Whatever you choose, have fun and enjoy your steal!

I finally signed up for Ravelry. I'm headed back to the LYS today. I hope there is a different person there today because the one on Saturday was really negative. I need to exchange (hopefully) the circular needles she sold me for my DD to learn to knit on for straight. DS and other DD are having a much easier time with straight.
There was a fair amount left in a pretty orange color. I'm not sure it's enough to make a Sahara, even a sleeveless one. Some of the other colors were pretty too but not enough volume. I'm almost done with the dishcloth so I'll post pics of that soon.
