Well, I have things I'd like to get done...but realistically I don't think it will all be finished. Here's my list:

For baby:
finish sewing the newborn diapers :
move the changing table and rocker out of dd #3's room
clean out pack-n-play (it's set up, but I've just been unloading baby stuff into it )
lanolize longies & covers

Other:
finish knitting my 2nd dd's hat
move my sewing stuff back to the guest house (I have it in our "school" room right now since we're on break)
pay bills and get payroll & tax stuff ready (I do the books for my dh's office)
return a few items from Christmas that didn't fit
order pics from Christmas and put them in an album

Ok, this is a good idea, since these things are just rolling in my brain right now!

1. Clean Tahoe out so I can install infant carseat CHECK
2. Finish packing my hospital bag, which is hard because I can't put in hairdryer, toothbrush, makeup bag, etc. 'til I'm ready to go. CHECK
3. Pack ds's bag, if I can find one.
4. Buy a diaper pail CHECK
5. Alter my bras to be nursing bras or buy nursing bras
6. Buy a stroller, maybe
7. Organize dd's closet so there is somewhere to put baby's clothes CHECK
8. Sew more newborn pockets that are waterproof OR make more PUL covers. CHECK
9. Go to OB this morning CHECK
10. Put my bag, and dd's and ds's bags in the car
11. Wash Moby and sling I made (hope size is right)

And wishful thinking list of nesting woman:

1. Buy a deepfreeze and fill it with meals
2. Steamclean carpets
3. Buy dd an armoire for her clothes
4. Buy a snap press for diaper-making
5. Buy a cosleeper, better yet a king bed Set up crib 3 sided instesd CHECK
6. Hire a maid I can't actually complain, my parent's baby shower gift was a dishwasher and it's FREAKIN' AWESOME!
7. Move closer to town so I'm not snowed in when I go into labor. No, not really, roads are much better now.
8. Buy my cloth dipe stash, instead of making it, but $$$ ouch, they're pricey!

Good idea, I love me so lists.

Wash and lanolize my longies.
Have the baby shower.
Finish us last minute baby shopping.
Clean car out and install car seat.
Oh jeez, I've already done most of that! Knitted longies, hats, booties, lanolized those and the other covers, cleaned out the car, dyed a bunch of baby clothes, loaded them and the diapers into the new dresser (bought and assembled), made a million casseroles and frozen cookie dough...

The only thing left on the list is:

-HAVE BABY

Oh my...

-Make meals for freezing
-Grow the balls to tell my boss/MIL that I cannot handle the stress or commute anymore
-Figure out where the baby monkey is going to sleep
-Put carseat in the car
-Get more onesies
-Pray the birth kit and diapers get here before the baby does
-Wash diapers
-Clean house from top to bottom
-Make sure the midwife brings check valve and filters for birth tub
-Set up "birth suite" AKA dining room (we took the table and chairs out and put in the tub and are converting it to a birth suite.
-Make sure I have enough food in the house and the laundry DONE so I dont have to worry about the face that DH will be in charge and has gotten increasingly lazier over the last two months and will not do it himself
-Finish knitting soakers and longies and lanolize
-Finish knitting "Christmas" gift for my sister (which should have been in the mail three weeks ago)
-Mail Christmas presents to sisters and parents (I suck as a daughter/sister)

I think thats it... I THINK
Finish sewing diaper inserts
Sweep and mop house
Clean bathroom
Blow up birth pool, so that it will be ready (Check)
Go grocery shopping (Check)

Other than that I really don't care about the rest.

I forgot one of the MOST important things... I need to find a pediatrician!!!

I have been taking my kids to a PCP/family practice dr. and I am unhappy with her. I have been intending to find one for my kids for a while but I have been so busy with pregnancy stuff and my new job. ERGH!!! I would not take a newborn to see this woman if you held a gun to my head!!

Yet ANOTHER thing to tack onto my list!
Make/write/mail thank you cards from baby shower
Make DP clean out his old desk, so I can convert it to our changing table
Hang up pictures on baby's room
Go through and organize all of my paperwork
Finish washing/organizing baby clothes and diapers
Make a Goodwill trip to get rid of some stuff

To Buy Still:
Carseat
Stroller
Breast Pump
Baby Swing
Co-sleeper

The most major thing on the list that I'd like to get done is....HAVE THIS BABY!
I've been really good the past few weeks and have gotten so much done. I set Christmas as my deadline, just in case (I sleep better that way!!) But I have few things left

-buy new breast pump hosing
-break down and clean pump
-pull out swing from garage
-hook in car seat base, right now its just sitting in the car so DD won't play with it
-pack transfer bag, this is important and I keep forgetting
-wash old towel and cut in 6 by 6 squares for compresses
-buy some comfy sports bras for first few weeks, all my old ones are nasty
-take the dogs in and do a deshed, nails and pads before the baby comes
-have an official meeting with my doula, LOL a little late sure, but really, its a good friend, she mostly knows everything already, but just go over final details
-send out email to everyone to let them know where to find updates on the pregnancy and about the new baby (I have a website, this was SOOO nice with DD, it kept people from calling all the time- babyhomepages.net, love it love it)

hmmm, I think that's it, for now

Hmm.....let's see...

Things for baby's arrival:

Install car seat base
Set up bassinet portion of PNP
Buy some sposies to have on hand
Wash out large pail that's sitting outside so it can be used to replace the smaller pail that currently barely holds 2 days of DS's dipes.

Things not necessary but that I'd like done, but that probably won't happen:

Finish making more dipes for DS
Finish crocheting blanket for DD
Steam clean carpets
Do one more thorough/deep house clean
Get rid of excess stuff sitting in garage

I think other than that, I've done everything

Bumping...
This is helping me stay on task (a little) as nesting isn't coming naturally right now!
Bump...

what do you still have to do?
Updating, 1/12 -- How is it already 1/12???

I could technically go at any time, but I'm hoping LO will give me my full 40-42 weeks, putting me at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. All the really 100% necessary stuff is done, and the rest is just gravy...really juicy gravy, so here it is, in rough order of importance (most to least).

-- yell at the downstairs neighbors for smoking inside: Accomplished! Sent the much more emotionally placid dh to be non-confrontational -- they apologized, had no idea we could smell it upstairs, and it hasn't been a problem since.
-- program my doula's number into my cell phone
-- get the doggie delivered to his grandpa's house, where he'll be staying through the first weeks after birth (and convince dh not to go all the way to VT to go skiing after he drops the dog off -- just in case) He's going this weekend. Skiing is still to be negotiated.
-- test out birth pool after it's delivered next week Well, it's still in the hallway. This is dh's job, anyway.
-- get rail for our bed so dh doesn't have to set up the co-sleeper right away Ordered a nifty pillow thing online!
-- buy big trash bags and dropcloths/shower curtains for birth DH bought the trash bags, still need the shower curtains.
-- sweet talk a friend into acting as postpartum coordinator to get my large but baby-free & understandably clueless local friend community to help out with meals and laundry for the first few weeks after birth. Taking her out to dinner Thursday...
-- type up my birth plan, including instructions for the placenta Done, except the "in case of hospital transfer" part. My doula says it's the longest birth plan she's ever seen. What can I say? I'm a novelist.
-- get some birthing music queued up on my ipod Having this on my to-do list is making me mad, for reasons I don't understand. Might not bother.
-- double triple check that my midwife has been pre-certified with my insurance
-- lanolize wool diaper covers
-- wash wash wash new pre-folds (already have some prepped and ready)
-- pre-wash new sheets for our bed
-- pre-wash co-sleeper sheets
-- clean house and do laundry (ongoing -- I WISH it were a one-time to-do!) Sure, I did some cleaning. Always more to do...
-- buy more tupperware Done!
-- cook and freeze some post-baby meals This is what DH and I spent most of the weekend doing. Chicken soup, beef stew, tofu stir fry, oh my! Freezer is FULL! Where will I put my perineal ice packs?
-- get more labor foods and drinks for me and support people, specifically:
red raspberry leaf tea
homemade electrolyte drink
miso soup Got some
fruit
-- write last two thank you notes for baby presents
-- reorganize some stuff to free up bin space under my bed for storing birth supplies and other baby gear
-- find a cheaper phone and DSL plan -- I swear I'm paying too much, but haven't had time for research yet
-- make an email distribution list for birth announcement Done!
-- get the car seat installed
-- sell extra baby junk from shower (anyone in need?)
-- figure out what on earth I need to do, if anything, to "exercise my stock options" before I check out of my job (making this list inspired me to email my HR person, so I can half check this off)
-- get a rug for the "baby's room"/aka dh's office
-- buy thingie to attach infant carseat to stroller (not at all sure I'll use this, and almost definitely not in the first month)

I'm sure there's more...I'm a control-junkie, so I could list "things I need to do" all day and all night...anyone have any tips for chillaxing and letting things go un-done????

Yay! we are getting things done! I spent all stinking day running around trying to get more things off my list... all it ended up doing is making me realize how much I am missing on my list! Keep up the hard work ladies! Time is flying by!

Well- I think that if I can finish up my bookwork this afternoon I will call my list complete. SIL said she will come play with the kids so I can get done. Lets just face it- my office paperwork hasn't been filed since DS was born.... Clearly it is just fine sitting in piles.. I decided to add to my list though- I really want to finish up a couple of knitting projects that would be super nice to have done for the baby- like the alpaca shawl I have been working on for months..... only 6 rows left plus fringe! And I finished a pair of longies for DS- just need to lanolinize them- but might as well wash all of his while I am doing that.....

Oh- and my mom is coming to stay with us after the baby comes- so I need to make a list for her too- things like clean the freezer...... ya know- mom stuff!
