Displaying artwork on walls - those ropes with pegs?

I'm trying to organize a good way to have the kids display their artwork (we homeschool, so there is a lot) without using tape on the walls. But I'm not talking framing great pieces - just some way of them being able to put up pictures and take them down for themselves.

Pinboards are difficult for the space I have (along a corridor wall), so I'm wondering about those wire or rope lines with pegs. I've seen them in people's homes before, but does anyone know where you buy them? Or do you make your own?

I just want systems for the kids, and one line for each kid might keep our walls a little more organized.

I put up something like this at our place using twine and nails. Basically, you put a couple columns of nails in the wall with each row being wide enough to hang your common art size. Then you wrap and knot the twine starting at the top of one side, across to the nail on the same level, wrap around, move down the wall to the next row, wrap around the nail, and back across in under your first nail... repeat as needed for the number of rows you'd like. The final result looks something like this:

It probably took less than 10 minutes to be done with the stack of art hung on the wall. Here's a picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22109189@N05/2617121714/

This is exactly what I did as well! It looks much better than it used to!

I got some of those little adhesive hooks from 3M. They are supposed to be removable. I put string between them and then hang the artwork up with small binder clips. I hadn't thought to use something stiff like wire but I sort of like the closeline like bow in the middle.

Oh that looks so cool!! Such a simple idea - I can't wait to get this done. No more masking tape or wonky pictures on the walls.
