changing pad pattern....

Forgive me if this has been asked a million times already, my pregnant brain isn't funtioning properly so I'm sure I'm not using the search option correctly

I am ISO a changing pad pattern I can sew fairly quickly, I only have about 2 1/2 weeks to get everything done!!! But, I want to make it out of wool. I was thinking of using an old army blanket, have yet to go to the army surplus store, or sew up old felted sweaters, which I don't have yet either.

Like I said, my pregnant brain has been failing me so, coming up with a cute pattern myself is futile.

TIA!!

Hmm.. I don't have a pattern. I suppose if you don't need one of the ones with raised sides, just an oval or a rectangle mat would do. I need to make a mattress for my moses basket and I'm going to use some wool blankets I picked up for cheap at the thrift store. Of course, then you need a sheet or cover.

A rectangle will do. The changing table has sides so there is no problem there.

I need to get my butt to the thrift stores tomorrow for some more wool.

To refresh my memory, what percentage of wool do I need for them to felt up (sweaters/blankets)? Is it at least 70% wool? When I do longies I only get 100% but, with what little time I have left now I'm not going to be uber picky.

I think it's somewhere around there. 70 or 80. GL and I hope you find blankets for the square footage!!
