Hcg Levels...?

Hey!
So I had my beta done yesterday (15 dpo) and the nurse called me back today to say it was 842. Is this "normal" ? Have any of you had yours done and dont mind sharing?
I've had two chemical pgs this past summer, and I have never had a hpt line as dark as the one I took a few days ago (darker and wider than control, using First Response-Rapid results). So Im hoping this one is a sticky bean!
I also dont even know if my dr will want me to come in for another beta, and regardless she is not in the office until Monday, so I have no idea how the numbers are changing.

Hi Carolyn,

The levels will increase at different rates for different women. Generally they double every 48 to 72 hours. It's important not to put too much stock in HCG levels because you can have really low levels and still have a very healthy baby. For some women that's just the way it is. Watching those levels can become a real mind game and very quickly turn into a source of worry and stress.

One thing that might be helpful is to sit with the question you are asking - "what are normal hcg levels?" - and dig a bit deeper to the question underneath that. What is making you feel concerned about it? If the deeper question were something like, "I can't believe that I really am pregnant" you could look at ways to connect with your body and your baby right now. I don't know what might ring true for you but let me know if this sounds like a helpful idea, and how it goes if you try it.

I agree with Aimee...there is a HUGE range of normal for hcg levels in early pregnancy.

You can see that even the charts don't fully agree. My favorite is the third one...wow! What a range!

This is a topic that interests me, because I've had a history of low hcg.

Thank you for the idea. I'm just looking for some re-assurance that everything is fine. I do not think I could handle a third consecutive m/c.
I am trying to connect to my body, but I am not really having any symptoms, and any that I may be having I feel like I am imagining.
I am only 5w1d and I know some people do not feel any symptoms for a number of weeks, I just wish I had some so I could "feel" pregnant.

Try to relax a while, I am sick as a dog, but I was as worried as you at 5 weeks.
I found out I was pg at 9dpo...and had to wait another 3 weeks to feel pg....6 week sickness found me
