Monday afternoon, the man who abused my sister, tormented my family and has caused nothing but stress for me in the last 4 years was finally arrested and will NOT be getting out of jail anytime soon!

I have guardianship of my niece and nephew as well as have (at some point!) 4 of my own children. In the last 2 years, our lives have been turned upside down by this man. He attacked my sister, he raped her (hence the birth of my nephew), he threatened almost every member of my family, including my children. But he's always skirted around and found ways to get away w/everything he's ever done!!
HE'S GONE, GONE GONE!!:
I know that the problems of my pregnancy were at least indirectly related to the stress of this situation. I will sleep more peacefully tonight than I have since my sister met this man over 4 years ago. I was 9mos pregnant with DD3 when I had to testify against him. I testified against him twice in this pregnancy.
I will also note that we've had positive outcomes from this whole situation - one of which is my darling nephew! I love him as my own son! He came to live with me when he was only 2 mos old (my sister had a hard time looking at him for awhile.). My sister's children now live with her again, she's overcome so much. She's learned what she is capable of, as have my family & I. My husband is amazing for tolerating all of this. Also, as odd as it sounds, DD1 knows this guy and is afraid of him. She used to be afraid of police officers and pretty much anyone in a uniform. Then she heard the police arrested my sister's ex and that fear is gone. DH tells me I can find positives in anything
Anyway - i just had to share all of this. My husband is working and we don't discuss "the man" around my children unless we have to. SO thanks for listening! I'm gonna go jump around my house now - maybe this LO will want to come help celebrate!
