By the way, the "twist" is just a marketing gimmick.

The Biggest Loser is releasing a "30 Day Jump-Start Program" book on the same day that the 30 days are up for the contestants who were sent home. So I'm sure they've armed them with the book (and perhaps a free membership to 24-hour fitness, a BodyBugg, a case of Extra Sugarfree Gum, and several packages of some dee-lish Jennie-O turkey sausage ) and will then showcase the amazing results that they got because of it.

Give them credit for taking product placement to a whole new level.

technically since the first season every other season has been a marketing gimick.

It wouldn't surprise me with the 24hour fitness & bodybugg. In other seasons when they've been sent home & they show clips of them exercising they're often at 24hour fitness & they are wearing the bodybugg(which is part of 24hour fitness).

remember way back when in the first couple of seasons when they sent home the last people to finish it off at home that they'd come home to an entire gym set up in their house.

It's quite obvious that just being ON the show gets you a membership to 24 hour fitness and you can keep your bodybugg (which, by the way are really really expensive...I wanted one) The "at home" shots always involve them working out with a trainer

But wait dear trainers NYVeg and AFWife...I see this whole display of delicious Jennie O turkey and I just don't know what I would make with it...let me chew my Extra Sugar Free gum while you give me ideas....

As luck would have it Rocco is visiting today! Now he's going to show you how to make all these great, low fat, foods in your OWN kitchen. (Providing you can afford to buy all of the ingredients and you have the proper cookware)

I love BL... I always watch it. I find it very inspirational.

As for the scene set ups. Yes, they are dumb. Yes, I know they are fake...
but believe it or not there are lots of people out there that have never considered using something besides their insanely huge amount of water bottles and tossing them (not recycling either!) So if it enlightens a few people about switching from a ton of water bottles in the landfill, I don't mind them so much.

I can't wait for tomorrow's show. I was shocked they sent home so many but four will return in four weeks.

I must admit that I have NEVER watched this show.

But, y'all have intrigued me. Are reruns ever shown during the day?

You can watch a full episode of last week's show here...give it a few days and you'll be able to watch tonight's show if you miss it

I kept waiting for Joelle to step in and go, "I don't want to be here. Send me home instead." But that never happened. She is REALLY starting to annoy me.

Some touching moments last night. I like this group more than the last one.
Joelle really isn't giving it her all and I hope last night was a wake up call for her. I do not fault her for being tempted by the money though. That is a lot of money especially if you know first hand what it's like to be poor (I have no idea if that's the case with her but it kind of seemed that way). I think Bob dismissing it like he did shows his lack of understanding.
It was amusing (I guess that makes me not very nice) to watch Bob flip out on her. I can understand his frusteration, she is so slack and full of excuses.

I was so glad to see Jerry's update, he is doing so well at home (so is his wife).

It broke my heart when Jerry only lost 1 pound. Watching him stand up there and then struggling to just walk down the stairs off the scale was awful. Of course I'm 36 weeks pregnant and a wee bit emotional but I was crying. I was so happy to see his update!

I haven't been pg in almost 7 years & I was crying a few times during last night's show.

I don't think Bob knows how important the money is to Joelle. she has a block up & I don't think has told him everything and it's holding her back. I think the problems in the gym are the fear she's talked about, but also embarrasment(something that keeps ALOT of people out of gyms). They talked after the temptation, but they haven't truely talked about her issues yet.

I can understand being tempted by $25000 but you could tell even the $5000 she was almost ready to walk. If it wasn't for her friend I think she would have. I truely think she would have left. I think she has a very unhappy life back home. I can't remember how old she is but she is ashamed to be living with her mother. There are issues deeper than the money & getting $5000 or even the $25,000 isn't going to fix her issues.

Did you see Jillian's reaction?

You could tell during the workout, she wanted to hurt him.lol During the weigh in she didn't want to be there standing next to Bob, I don't think she likes him very much right now. I think she doesn't like him because he was RIGHT and he pushed her beyond her limit and she didn't like that.

Poor Jerry. But that was a tough bottom 2. I'm glad he and his wife look so good in the after stuff. It'll be nice to see the other 3 people who left the ranch and how they did at home when their partner leaves.

They had already previewed the Joelle thing in the beginning of last weeks show, so I wasn't surprised about the blow up. It was definitely interesting to see that non-ohm side of Bob! He touched on his inner b!tch last night! Joelle was very lucky last night, and I hope that she pulls it together. I'd really feel bad for her partner (Sandra-is that her name?) if Joelle just doesn't realize that she has a great opportunity on the ranch, and that I think that if she doesn't do well it will definitely hurt their friendship especially when they are watching the shows and the at home friend sees her "in action."

OT-Allison Sweeney had a baby girl last week. I guess we'll really get to see her belly grow over the season!

yes and then the 2nd blowup she was laughing(as was one of the other players, I think it may have been Tara(the green shirt who won the immunity/phone call).

I was touched several times last night. I really like how they tried to keep the person who they felt needed it the most. They were very concerned about them and not just playing the game, you know??

I thought the whole thing with Bob was interesting. I mean why would ANYONE go to a place like that and not give it their all? It's just strange.

I do like this group better than previous groups. They seem to really care about one another! That's awesome!
