This is Brad, Cristi's (Squeeky's) hot, talented, extremely smart (like Urkel smart - seriously) loving husband.
Cristi is lying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of very private holes and into parts in her arm where holes didn't used to be. She has HELLP syndrome and will be delivering our baby tomorrow morning 13 weeks premature.
We've had a long talk with the neonatal physician (I don't know how to spell neonatalogist/neonatologist because both of them look both right and wrong so I choose to use the term neonatal physician). We've been told that girls are better than boys at surviving such an ordeal. We've also been lucky enough to have afforded the baby 48 hours of steroids (we've been here since early Tuesday morning) which we're told is also a great benefit. We've been given a ballpark estimate that 70-80% of deliveries this premature can walk out of the hospital, when it's time, with no serious problems. That means the odds are in our favor. There's always the remaining 20-30% but we're not thinking about that.
Anyway, Cristi wanted me to log in and keep all of you informed so you could keep her in your thoughts. She will resume normal posting as soon as she is able, hopefully with promising news.
-Brad
P.S. - she asked that you not throw her out of the March 2009 club
