Sophie is here!

Just wanted to share that my daughter, Sophie, arrived this morning at 5:29 a.m. She weighed 7lbs. 9 oz. and is 20.5 inches long.

She was born after two membrane sweeps and a threat of induction. My BP was going up, so MW wanted to do a NST, bloodwork and an OB consult. The bloodwork and NST were perfect, but OB still wanted to induce me this morning. Happily, Sophie obliged and came before that had to happen.

It was a lovely, peaceful birth and she came out with just one long push. It was exactly what I was hoping for.
