:Hallelujah!!!:

I knew it, I knew it!

And as for a derivative of Epiphany ... something like Pippa, or some such nod in that direction.

Stick, baby Wish! Stick!

Hello everyone !

Just dropping by to say hello, happy new year and congrats to all the new BFP's ! To all those still waiting, I am sending babyvibes your way. To all those awaiting their miracle, I am wishing wonderful pregnancies and healthy babies. :

As for me.. well it will be some time before I TTC again but the sun seems to be shining behind the clouds left over since my big storm... new adventures seem to be just around the corner for me... I sure do hope that 2009 is easier than 2008 was !

Thinking of all of you,

Coco

wishin&hopin, YAY! Congratulations!!!! ::

papa, I also got very excited when I read you got a faint positive...I hope it comes back stronger!!

indigo, sorry it didn't work out this time. best of luck for next time

afm, KD is awol unfortunately so we don't get to try this month Although, my temp hasn't gone up to confirm yet but I expect it will in the next day or two. My guess is that KD will not be available until Monday when he's back at work. Oh well, February is a very romantic month to conceive a baby in, is it not?!

Wishin and Hopin: Congrats!!! : : Good queer baby juju for the new year!

Papa: Oh my gosh, oh my gosh... I hope that your one maybe positive turns in to a definite positive soon!!

Idigoscot: Sorry about your BFN, but hopefully the rest of your TTC journey is short and sweet.

CoCo99: how good to hear from you. I was just thinking about you today oddly enough. I hope 2009 brings you all kinds of good things. Thanks for thinking of us over here.
Aak. Did another opk just for fun and I'm pretty sure it's a definite positive today! I realize now that the last 2 days were not positives (maybe I'm being more patient with these things!)....close but definitely not as dark as today! Tons of ewcm too! KD, where the &%$# are you??!!

Hi all! Happy New Year! I'm happy to see so many people have graduated since the last time I was around!

We were supposed to start trying back in June or July, after the 6 mo. quarantine on our sperm was up. But the lab lost our donor's second round of blood work once, couldn't get him rescheduled for weeks, and then it took an interminable amount of time for the bank to get said blood work and actually have their Doc OK it. By then it was August, and the economy was turning to mush and I was about to be done with my Americorps assignment with no known job. I did manage to get employed (I'm now a professional Girl Scout!), but unfortunately can't qualify for maternity leave until I've been there a year. Which put us waiting till now to actually get started.

The delay made me all grr-y, after so long in the planning stages, and I just stopped with anything baby-related (probably for the best).

But I'm back, and we're getting started next cycle, so Squee!!

Much baby dust to all!

Oh, leave me under waiting to be ready for now(I think I've been there for over a year...) I just O'd, so I'll move over in a couple weeks. Thanks!

The tests hate me this month.

I keep breaking them - I must have dud batch, they keep going all weird, like this one, the control line is there clear as day, but where the test line should be, it's a blob of pink. No line. But not negative either. Pic posted here.

Experts? What do y'all say? (As time goes by, the blob seems to be shrinking, maybe it will eventually leave behind a line?)

Wishin' & Hopin'!!!!! :::::

The first BFP of 2009, way to bring it!

Indigo - that is a very sweet story. I hope the orchid is right.

papa, go buy more pee sticks!! it's very weird but surely there wouldn't even be a blob if it were negative? hmmmmmmm.

dp is one day off the prometrium but no sign of af yet. it's supposed to take up to 3 days so we're in wait mode. unlike me of course; as soon as i stopped them af came THE SAME DAY! and it was the af from hell, so i have already warned dp.

yesterday we tracked down all the paperwork we have to bring to our re appt and the clinic will email dp their records tomorrow. wednesday doesn't seem that far away and i think we will be happy to have a new plan of action...plus did i mention how much we LOVE our re?

I've never had a "blob" on a test so I have no idea what it means. Are you 12dpo today? Go buy a digital!!! You're driving us crazy!!

thanks!

Thanks for all the congrat's--I'm just praying "baby wish" sticks. I've taken 4 pregnancy tests all of which have had a faint line indicating a positive. But, af isn't due until tomorrow and I feel like I won't believe it until my period doesn't come. So...I'm sure I'll want to pee on more sticks

Papa--spring for a digital or something...those dollar store tests are crazy making (and isn't sanity worth the extra cost?).

And, to all waiting...best wishes! And, lots of hugs.

Oh, and symptoms--random stuff has smelled disgusting (my beloved opened a coke and it was awful!), an achey abdomen, I'm kind of queesy and tender breasts (but not typical tender for me--kind of tingly and less generally painful)--I'd say I'm tired but that could be due to a sermon that didn't quite gel as soon as it should have and anxiety about peeing on sticks!

Congratulations W&H! What a great way to start the New Year! :

Papa
. . . I am just all a flutter of excitement for you right now. The blob is definitely suspicious. I've never heard of it happening before, but it does seem like something that would be more likely to happen if you're pregnant, I think . . . any more news? :

Indigo . . . so sorry about the BFN. It seems like you guys are in a great place about it, emotionally. I'm excited to hear what the new RE thinks, and am very hopeful for your February cycle.

Welcome to all the new/returning TTCers!

wishin'&hopin': What a great way to start the new year! I send you stickies!

Papa: I cannot tell you how excited I'll be if that blob really is a line! I second or third the insistence that you get thee to a better test and report back ASAP. (I'll enable by guessing that the stick wouldn't respond at all if there we no hormones present, and the blob is probably a manufacturing error of the reactive stuff that is normally line shaped...)
Wishin' and Hopin'- Congrats! Those lines are a thrilling sight, no?

Katharinerose- Welcome back! I was actually just thinking about you guys the other day, and remembering our queer parenting get-together back at Lex's last fall.

Papa- I am stalking you on this and other networking sites. Get a new pee stick soon or I'll drive up there myself.

To everyone- all the best for a happy and healthy 2009, full of joy and queerspawn.

Hi Everyone and congrats to those with BFPs! I'm back after my loss at 10 weeks in Nov and we are waiting to o. Can we please be added? Should be o'ing around Jan 15 and we'll be trying again.
Broke another one. . .

I got "blob" again today. Luckily, that's the end of this batch of sticks.

Damn you, Dollar Tree!

I am 13 DPO, possibly 12. I think it's time to pick up a digital for tomorrow morning.

papa, yes long since past time for a new batch of test sticks and/or a digital!!!! omg, i am DYING here! lol!!! more of that vibe-y stuff coming your way (i'm too lazy to go look for the emoticon).

16dpo here, dp feels like af is around the corner. we faxed everything in the universe to the re today, i hope she doesn't think i'm too much of a nerd with all the detail i have on dp's cycles since she started using the cbem!! actually she really likes that i'm so up on all the terminology because she doesn't have to dumb down her discussions. thankfully the clinic made good on their promise to get us pdfs of all our records.

we are "working" from home this afternoon as the wee guy had some explosive diapers at daycare. we think it's due to teething and of course no sign of any more since we got home! he's eaten bread, a banana and an apple in the hope it will bind up anything that might be left.

Papa, you're killin' me here....I can't WAIT for tomorrow. I fear you'll test after I'm long gone from home taking the boy to school, so I'll be checking every 5 minutes on my phone.....

Fingers crossed here,
megin
