The man would know better, right? I don't have much experience with condoms. Only time will tell either way.

Hmm...just out of curiosity, do you have a link or reference for progesterone causing all the symptoms of PMS as well as early preg? Because I just googled and I'm seeing a lot sites saying that progesterone can relieve the symptoms of PMS. That's confusing.

No, I don't have a link. I can't remember where I read that. It was years ago. Maybe I used the incorrect term when using PMS. Progesterone causes the same feelings during the lp whether you are pg or not, if that makes better sense. Before the hcg from a pg gets high enough to cause any symptoms, the body has high levels of progesterone that can cause nausea and other symptoms. So, what I meant was that early pg symptoms and "normal" feelings during your lp could be the same.

I will concur about progestrone making one feel "pregnant." I have been noticing that with my last few cycles. It's very much like early pregnancy, right before I get my period. Also, when I was pregnant with my second, my nausea came back at the end, just as progesterone is also increasing. It started hurting to nurse my toddler as well.

is it a digital therm? assuming it is because you said wires. then nope, no mercury in there! it's battery operated and has a heat sensor in the tip. mercury is only in "analog" therms. like this.

your littles are fine

i agree as well. the progesterone causes me severe breast pain, like it hurts to breathe too deeply. if i didn't know better i'd think i was pg every time it happens, but luckily i do. upside: all the water retention makes them look huge,

That is about all I remember about hyperthyroid from a personal experience but people can have dramatic weight loss and their eyes can begin to protrude from their face if left untreated. Hypothyroidism is where I have the most experience b/c now that I don't have a thyroid I am living to prevent it. I start to feel sluggish, I gain weight, and I feel (and act) depressed. Your heart rate may be slower. You may be very tired all the time despite sleeping normally. Sometimes it it too subtle to notice so that is why it is not a bad idea to check it out.

Your chart is not showing up for me

Hi. I don't know if I belong here But I have a quesion about the Billings method. We are not TTC, so I suppose that would make me CTA, but I don't chart my temp, instead I keep track of my CM. I know when Ovulation happens, and sometimes I get Mittelschmertz, which obviously helps me keep track of O.

I did chart while TTC (I read How To choose the sex of your Baby and so did everything Shettles recommended, with the results we had hoped for. , but I found that I understood my CM much more than my Temperature. I just don't want to take my temperature any more. I thought it was a PITA.

So, my question is: How long after O is it safe to DTD? The first post says 3 days, is it just that simple, or is there something else I ought to know. I figured that you smart Mammas would know. Thank You!

If you were temping, it would be after 3 consecutive days of high temps. When only tracking CF, it's after 6 pm on the 4th consecutive day of CF dry up.

: I don't temp either, it's a total PITA to me too. I also use Billings. Pages 46-47 of Controlling Fertility Without Drugs or Devices say, "The peak day is the last day of a sensation of lubrication or the appearance of any clear or stringy mucus. the peak rule - Intercourse is available from the beginning of the fourth day past the peak until the end of your cycle." But don't depend too much on O pains--you can have them before, during or after O. Glad to see someone else CTA with Billings.

That must be in TCOYF.(?) Billings specifically calls it safe from the beginning of the 4th day past the peak. But waiting certainly can't hurt!

Mel. Don't know about the condoms, but sometimes I have cramps my whole LP. Sometimes I have them the whole dang cycle... And sometimes I have none... Ever. So maybe you're just having a crampy LP.

Really 3 consecutive days past the peak is the same as the 4th day past the peak cause that 3rd day is a whole day so really your safe AFTER that day!! Wording can be so confusing!!

something is really messed up with ff for me. when I click on anyone's chart I don't see a chart at all. that includes my own. I can see it through the site but not if I click on my siggie. then when I go to the site I can't click on any of the options on the left side of the page. Not sure what is going on there but is anyone else having that problem

That does make a little more sense. My breasts are always tender on and off during my LP for example. The cramping around the time implantation would happen is what threw me off. I'm not too worried anymore though. There's a chance I suppose but we knew that when we DTD with condoms, and if it happens it happens. I'll find out Saturday I guess.

Hmmm...it must be just you. I can see your chart just fine.

: But since OP asked about Billings specifically and I could actually help, thought I'd throw it out there. There isn't usually much I can contribute here LOL.

it looks like i'm going to have a rogue 13 day LP this cycle. i usually have 12 days, but have been having more 11s as of late, and here's a 13. i think i'm going to start reading up on lengthening the LP, 13 or 14 days consistently would be really nice, lol.

4 days of CF dry up is the same as the 4th day after the peak day. TCOYF may recommend waiting one extra day, I guess, since it says you're not safe until after 6 pm of the 4th day.

FF is working for me.
