Charting to Avoid January 2009 - Page 2

I'm checking in! I'm still on my first postpartum cycle CTA. I'm pretty sure I finally O'd since my cervical fluid, + OPK and temps are looking like they are going that way. If I get one more raised temp I will be able to have a coverline/crosshairs and I'm pretty confident that will happen.

Any experienced CTA'ers want to take a look at my chart and confirm that it is likely? (Link to Fertility Friend in my siggy)

I haven't been keeping an online chart. It's paper. I've been too lazy to type it into FF. One of the reasons I joined this thread was that I needed more motivation to be consistent with charting etc. I could put the info from my paper chart into FF and than you guys could see.

Still no AF for me and I'm on 17 DPO. Before I got pregnant with Freya my LP was 16 days long, but I also O'd a lot earlier than I did this time. My cycles were usually only 26 to 27 days long. I am EBF right now, but I have had 2 normal periods and pretty obvious signs that I ovulated.

I'm sure you know that lp length is more consistent than cycle length. Your lp can also vary by two days and still be considered ok/normal. However, 18 days of high temps usually means a pg. You said your O day may be off by one day. Do you think it could've been earlier or later?

Ducette ~ It's a kind of hard for me to say for sure since you have so many missing temps. It does look possible that you Oed.

Ok, I took a minute to enter my data onto FF...

mamaspirit that looks like a pregnancy chart. You didn't DTD during a fertile day though . The temps aren't going down at all and are actually rising. Have you tested?

Ducette - I agree with marinewife.
mamaspirit, I think you need to take a test...those temps don't appear to be moving!

Don't say those things! Please tell me I missed something! I really don't think I could handle being pregnant right now! I have a 27 month old and a 7 month old. I would have 3 babies under the age of 3! I can barely keep up with 2! And than my 9 year old, although he is easy in some ways he can be so challenging in others... I really wish I had stayed more on top of charting and my fertility! I just kept forgetting... I guess its the lack of sleep.

I will have to wait to test until I do so without DH knowing. If he knew he would freak, even if it was negative, so no sence in freaking him unless I really need to.

What about me? Maybe I don't count because our method is a FAM/pull-out/condoms combo

Waiting for AF today... I'm pretty sure today will be the day, since I just started getting weepy looking at the word "Fertility" PMS makes me cry about everything.

Well if your temp does not go down in the next 2 days, I would say you are pregnant. Wow 3 under 3 I hope it's not a pregnancy since that is clearly what you don't want but it's not looking good on your chart.

hmmm too early to tell. You will have to wait a few more days. How long is your LP normally? ETA: just realized you are missing the past 2 days for temps on your chart.

so it's looking like i really did O on CD 11... that's a first, but my temps and CM pretty much corroborate. especially since yesterday i was completely dry except one little bit of EWCM (which is why i marked the day as EW) but it was only a tiny bit, just the once.

the earliest i've O'd before is CD 13, but it's usually more like CD 15/16. last cycle i O'd late (CD 18) and now this cycle early. i wonder what's going on...

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! Thank you for starting it Marine Wife!

mommy2twobabes - it sounds like you had the same weird cycle I did!

I'm on CD 12 here. I had an irrational moment on New Year's Eve... I'm not too worried about it. It was my first day of creamy. It was very late CD 10. I have never ovulated before CD 19. Still, stranger things have happened.

DH really wants another baby. It's the first he's really talked to me about it. I still don't remotely feel ready. However, I am starting to soften just a tiny bit. I just don't think my body will sustain a pregnancy yet. I want to get these hormones regulated again...

I know! I'm missing temps! Sorry! I wasn't as good about temping out of town. But I did get negatives on OPK's while we were gone... so that makes me pretty confident it didn't happen on the days I didn't temp. Along with my CF.

How old is your littlest? I am wondering when my hormones are going to regulate. They haven't been able to do it yet, even with help.

I'm on day 6 here of what should be my period...not pregnant...it appears my body is not doing much of anything.

Tara ~ Based on what you have on your chart, it looks like your O day is correct. Hopefully, AF will show for you by tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm with everyone else that you need to test.

akaisha ~ I think FF is wrong. I'd put your O day on cd14.

What's your situation? Why do you think your hormones are off and your body is out of whack?
Checking in. Love the new thread Looks great.

Having insane amounts of EWCF this month. Most months it's a bit of a guessing game but this month it's super obvious, like 30cm of stretch obvious! Not really sure why but it's helping me to teach Df what fertile cf looks like. My pre-o temps have been really high for me this month but hopefully I'll be able to tell when I O anyway.

Good luck to everyone who's waiting for AF to show up.

My hormone levels are post menopausol. When my dd was about 14 months my cycle stopped and I was having hot flashes and throwing up all night. I'm working with an ND to get them back up using natural hormones and crossing my fingers that my fertility returns (just so I know its there). My dd is about 2.5 now. Dh and I have never used any sort of BC, not even charting to avoid. We were laughing the other night (even though its depressing) that what would we do different if we were trying?! Say that we are trying beforehand? LOL I've been using the hormones for 4 months and only have had one short period. I should get at least a withdrawl bleed when I stop the hormones. I bought some OPK's and I'm hoping my chart will show I ovulate so we can actually CTA with reason.

mamaspirit- I'm sure that is nervewracking. I think I would be running out to a bathroom in a target or something to test!

why do you say CD14 instead of CD13? (curious because since i barely slept that night we probably can't trust the CD14 temp is accurate.) i've got the same problem today, i didn't sleep at all last night so the only temp i have for today was after an afternoon nap. this insomnia is driving me crazy. :

ETA: i threw the temps i have for those two days into FF so you guys can see what it looks like with them there. looking at it like that i wanna say CD13...? i stuck a coverline there for a visual, as well.

cahwilson - My youngest is 3.5 yrs. I have 4 kids. Three out of four pregnancies I have had preterm labor. Twice really badly. (dilating at 18 weeks) After my 4th was born, I got my cycle back around 8 months PP. I then had three miscarriages in a year and a half. I finally convinced dh that I really needed to not get pregnant for a good long while. It's been over a year since my last miscarriage. For whatever reason my body can sustain pregnancies very well.

My naturopath said that my thyroid is out of wack (thank you low temps for cluing me in!) My T3 hormone is inactive and my estrogen/progesterone balance is way off. I'm working on it.

I don't want another baby right now. Even if I did, I think I'm too scared to try. As much as I really didn't want to be pregnant before, the losses were really hard on me. I don't want to keep going through that yk?

Your situation sounds really scary! I hope you get some answers and results soon!

May I ask a question of you experienced PPAF charters?

I am wondering how your LP is affected. I am planning on leaving for a trip with DH on Monday and am really wondering if it is likely I could get my period. Assuming I ovulated a few days ago (I think on cd 35 or 36) could I have a short , say five or six day LP if I don't usually have longer than 40cd's PP?

Just wondering..
