Happy New Year everyone! :

I woke up so excited--that of course it brought me to tears--that it's finally January!

I will get to meet my little girl this month!

Did this time go by fast or slow for you?
My answer is both! It seems forever that we've known that we we're having our third child. But at the same time, wow, she's almost here.

Happy New Year!

It seems so strange that it is January. And, at least for me (due on the 8th), I know the baby is coming this month! So exciting...the time has passed relatively quickly for me--with the exception of the first trimester. I can't wait to meet Emmie Jo, but the thought of another child in our family is still a bit surreal!

it was pretty quick but has somehow slowed down recently--my due date was Monday

Hey, the names we have picked are similar. We were tossing around Emma Jo, but have probably settled on Ella Jo.

I think this pregnancy has gone by quite quickly.

I'm 41 and 1 today. I had a bunch of contractions yesterday, but they fizzled out. I thought for sure we'd be in the hospital today holding a baby. Maybe this baby really does want to come on the 7th for his/her Daddy's birthday.

And DH is still tossing around names with me. Nothing set in stone yet.

I can't believe it's finally our month!
I feel like I've been pregnant forever, but at the same time, the last two months have flown by. Now that the holidays are over and all our guests have gone, I'm basically twiddling my thumbs, waiting for baby to pick a day! I'm 39 weeks today, and lost part of my mucus plug over the last 2 days. Baby is LOA and has been head down and engaged for like 6 weeks now. Not that that means anything, but I'm hopeful! I would love for baby to come in the next few days, but I keep trying to remind myself that I could very well be pregnant for 3 more weeks! Eeek!

This is crazy for sure. We made it to January!!

I'm due the 11th, so for sure this baby will be here at some point this month. That's whats helping me survive. I'm 38w4d and just had an appointment yesterday....where my cervix was closed tight as a drum. So I'm mentally preparing myself to go until the end of the month.

This time has gone slow and fast at the same time. The days that I was throwing up all day, definitely slow. And yet its almost as if I blinked and its time. I almost can't believe that I'm going to be holding my daughter soon. I cannot wait to meet Aviendha Jane!!

The whole pregnancy went super fast... til last month when the contractions started... now it's just painfully slow... literally. lol I'm 39+4, so I know it's soon... I just pray it's really soon.

Right now it's still weird knowing I will meet her soon... it still feels far off, somehow.

It went by kinda fast for me.. I wonder whether we should do anything for the EDD which was set for tomorrow.

Yay for January babies! We sure could have used the tax break if this LO had decided to show up in December, but now that it's January, and 2009, I am glad he will be born this month. DH and I went for Chinese today, and I learned (from reading my placemat!) that 2009 is the year of the Ox, which is a good year for our babies to be born I think. (2008 was year of the Rat.) DH is an Ox too so I know it's a good sign

It is really weird thinking that we could either have a baby like tomorrow, or still be waiting for another 2-3 weeks . . . my due date is Jan. 9 and today DH told me that if the baby is really late (after Jan. 20) we can always say that he just didn't want to be born while George Bush was still president! And that really did make me feel less despondent about the possibility of waiting around for a few weeks. :

I really can't decide whether this pregnancy went fast or slow. All I know is that I can't really imagine *not* being pregnant right now--I feel like I've always been pregnant and always will be. When I see pictures of myself pre-pregnancy I think I look really weird and I don't recognize myself. It will be odd adjusting to not being pregnant again.

I hate to disappoint you : but it's going to be the year of the Rat still until January 26th. Chinese years don't quite coincide with the Gregorian calendar.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_(zodiac)

The Rat's not bad though! Every sign has both good and bad characteristics and capacities.

I have to wonder, though: if our babies wait until the 20th to be born, is because of Bush or because they want to be Aquarians instead of Capricorns? How would we ever know?

ETA: My DH is an Ox too - it is a good sign!

We went to Asia in 2007, and many people we met were holding off on doing things (getting married, etc.) until this year of the Rat, because it is supposed to be an auspicious year to begin new things!

Not due till the 24th, begging baby to come anytime after I am 37w (Sat) but mentally preparing for another Feb babe.

As long as we're talking about the Chinese calendar...
I think it's funny that I'm due with my first girl on my birthday, and I was born in the year of the rat too (almost ox.) I was always confused as to whether I'm a rat or an ox. I guess we cleared that up!

Everything is lining up for me to believe this baby will be much like me. Uh-oh! (Not that that's a bad thing--but won't we clash?) It sure will be fun finding out who she is!
