What is this?

I have this small whitish area on my nipple this morning. I had the same thing last week. It actually started out as pain when DD (5 months old) would nurse. Later that day, I noticed it was a red dot, and then, it filled with pus. I had to use a needle to drain it. This morning, I noticed the same area is whitish again (no pus, though). I've never experienced this before. Should I be concerned?

What you're experiencing is called a milk blister -also called a bleb. You can read up on it at

I hope you're feeling well soon.
