Nursing Mamas TTC January- Roll Call Please Check In - Page 12

BFN this morning at 17dpo. This is SOOO frustrating. I still have no signs of AF at all and my temp went even higher today.

Anyone get a BFP later than 17dpo?

Yeah, me too. My DD has been clingy and in perpetual meltdown mode. It's probably due to her last canine tooth coming in, but still... *sigh* This too shall pass. Right?

Oh, and Congratulations, ElliesMomma!!! :

I can't decide when to test, lol

So originally, I was going to test tomorrow, which should be 10 DPO. Then I talked myself into Friday, then I was thinking Saturday would be good, and now I'm leaning towards Friday again. But if I "play" with my temps, I can "make" myself anywhere from 11 DPO today on down to 0 DPO, lol, depending on which ones I discard or not. When do you guys think I should test? I thought I woke up this morning w/ my boobs feeling full-ish, but I could have been imagining it. I have about 17 IC tests at my disposal but don't want to "waste" them all this cycle if it's a BFN, but they DO expire in May so I want to use them before then. I also had another random thought. There's a girl on another board who is sending me a maternity outfit as a partial trade. It went out in the mail yesterday, so I kind of "want" to test the morning after I receive that package (provided that AF hasn't come, of course).

Just checking in real quick.

Congrats Elliesmom!

NO progress here yet. Still just waiting and waiting for my body to do anything.

Good luck all.

Andrea~I'd probably test tomorrow since you have 17 IC's.

AAM- I think i'm still in denial about having a temp shift with no cm: which puts me at only 8dpo but if i go with the opks i left on my chart i'm 11dpo today. but i had also gotten a + opk the day of the temp shift.

Congratulations to our three mamas with BFPs!!!!!! :

Ugh. I have been kinda avoiding this thread this month... I think I OD'ed on it last month as thread hostess and I've been busy with other things, too. I apologize for being such a non-participant ladies.

You can move me to 2WW, Kami. According to my OPKs, it looks like I O'ed early this month, on CD14 or 15 (the darker one was on CD14, but CD15's was also looking pretty positive). So that would put me at 8 or 9dpo. I'm trying to wait till Friday or Saturday to start testing. Our timing was good, but I'm not feeling anything that feels like symptoms, so who knows? If this isn't our month, I think we're taking a break... DS is nursing like mad again and I'm reaching my breaking point. I think it's probably wiser for me NOT to TTC while nursing. I'm not sure I could hack the sleep deprivation during a pregnancy...

And, on that note, I'm off so I don't bring anybody down. Good luck to everyone!!

RD~ You are absolutely genius at finding typos and misprints and rewording things to make people laugh at themselves. Thanks, I totally needed that.

And that would be a BFN

I would LOOOOOVE to get a BFP.

I just thought I'd check in. I had a period earlier this month, so I'm waiting to O. I have some pain that I think might be ovulation. Does anyone know if ovulation pain occurs before/during/after ovulation? I want to know if it's already too late when I feel the O pain.

Yes, it does.

No seriously, it varies from woman to woman for the timing of it, or if there's any pain at all. Are you temping or anything?

Genuis in some ways, stone moron in others. But I didn't reword anything. I was confuzzled!!!

Sorry for the BFN.

All - I'm gonna quietly lurk. Maybe not so quiet from time to time, LOL

I have 9 1/2 month old twins, nursing, one is co-sleeping, no AF yet. Hoping... posted today about BCPs to trick my body back into cycling, no input. Anyone?

Tried having them go 8 hours with no boob today, planned for 8am till 4pm. But at 2:53pm E slammed her finger in a bathroom drawer and when I picked her up she started doing that fish-out-of-water dammit-where's-my-boob thing and what can ya do? So we got 7 hours...

I've had O pain ever since high school, it's a pretty regular thing for me.

My temps are crazy off because I was ill last week and had a 102 for a couple of days. grrr...

Please move Kel32brown to Waiting to Test. Thanks!

My sympathies, as owner of a 17dpo BFN myself a month or two back. SUCKS to wait that long for bad news. Are you using progesterone cream? Do you have annovulatory cycles on occasion?

I was using progesterone cream, and the temp went up the last day, just like yours did.

I caved and tested this morning

I don't know why, really. I knew it would be negative. I mean, I'm only 10 DPO or so, and didn't test positive w/ DD until 14 DPO. I guess I just wanted to go ahead and use up my tests before they expire, lol.

So I woke up at like 4:30 and peed in a cup in the dark (so as not to wake DH) then took the cup and the stick into the laundry room and dipped it. Came on here and watched the clock. I let it develop for like 8 minutes just so I could confirm the negative. (Other times that I'd taken it, when I looked at 5 minutes, the dye was still moving, so I wanted to wait for a fully white background just on the off chance of a faint positive.)

So 8 minutes passed and I went back and looked at it.

Then I think my exact words were, "No way. No freakin' way." Then I sent up a prayer of thanks.

Andrea!!! :::
Congratulations! I am so happy for you!

Bromache, we're thinking about taking a break next month, too. I have been feeling like DS is needing me extra these past weeks, almost like he's trying to tell me that he's not ready for a sibling. Plus conceiving next cycle would put the EDD the same week as DS's birthday, which I don't know would be good for long term family dynamics...

SparklingGemini, looking at your chart again, if you ovulated on CD15, you should be getting definite results by now, but maybe you didn't ovulate until CD17 or even not until yesterday... It would be possible to "build" a chart with ovulation on CD17 and a coverline at 97.1, ignoring CD16's temp. Or ovulation on CD31 with a CL at 97.7. That's a mighty big temp spike you had yesterday, but way after your last EW... Hmmm... Do you always have EW at ovulation? I know some women don't, that creamy is as close as they get. And is 97.7 a high CL for you? In any case, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Remember AmyIrene's chart from a while back? She didn't end up ovulating until way after CD20 and had to wait a long time through a confusing chart for her BFP.

Congrats to all those who got a BFP this month!

I am honest-to-goodness so confuzzled by my chart. I have absolutely no experience with this sort of thing whatsoever and I'm feeling it. I've been slowly working through TCOYF, and it all seems so easy on paper, but then in reality, well . . . . Not so much. I had a + OPK, immediately followed by a - OPK (an hour later), but no temp shift up. No EWCM. Stalk my chart, please. Please.

Well I took 1 Tbsp of powdered maca this morning, and holy hell I am so sick to my stomach! I don't know if I need to take it later in the day, away from coffee time, or after I've eaten more, but my god, so sick.

Anywho - congrats to all those with BFPs!

I am really hoping to get pg between now and May. Otherwise I will take a break till next November. I can really only have a babe in the fall or winter because DH has to do fieldwork in the summer. So wish me luck!
