Nursing Mamas TTC January- Roll Call Please Check In - Page 19

Can you move me to waiting to O?
I started my soy isoflavones today in the hope of ovulating earlier. I hope they work, I am not a very patient person

madis81 - those long waits suck! You have my sympathy.

Lit Chick - I am sorry for all the stress you have going on! I know I would be seriously torn about having to take a break s

Welcome PrincessDoll!

Congrats on the BFP's!!!

AFM- my youngest son who is 8 and has some mental health issues (adhd, odd, bipolar) has gotten really hard to control lately and keeps getting suspended from school so we got him into a residential treatment center that is just up the street from us. He started today and I am going crazy sitting here missing him. He is going to live there for the next 6-9 months. I can go see him several times a week and call whenever but its just not the same. I just want my baby home but I know this is the best thing for him right now. Please pray that he gets the help he needs soon and can come home.

Hi everyone, I suck at posting! I am clueless where to be put. I haven't had AF this month yet and I am 10 days late but tested Sunday and still got a BFN so maybe AF got lost.

Yes, ldsmom, I agree with this.

Amyirene That's really scary. I hope your boy gets better and can come home soon.

Grahnola Mum, I am glad your DH was... amenable. I think men don't tend to get as excited as we do. My partner said, "Are you sure it's mine?" He was joking, I knew he was joking, but that was so not the thing to say to a woman when she's just announced she's expecting your child.

Amyirene, Oh, I am sorry. I hope that this ends up being a really positive thing for your son though.

AFM, we DTD anyway. Ha. I talked to a few friend who had kids at less-than-ideal times, and they made me feel much better. Also, my grandmother was rushed to the ER unconscious yesterday. The first guess were that it was another stroke. Turns out her (idiot) docs had messed up her meds again. Meds fixed, and she's so much better.
That helped me flip my perspective. It's not so much that bad things keep happening - but that bad things keep trying to happen but we manage to muddle through fairly OK. So, I feel kind of blessed and lucky instead of doomed.

Though I'm not going to pursue TTC if last night's fun did not take. Only because next month would mean 2 kids with close birthdays, after that is xmas. So, either I got some baby dust or I'm holding until April anyway.

And yes, I do tend to overanalyse everything in my life, why do you ask?

Lit Chick - I think there is never an 'ideal' or convenient time for a baby. I am sure things will work out just fine for you whatever happens

Amyirene - sorry about your DS, I can't imagine being separated from my baby. I hope he gets the best out of this programme and can be home soon a happier child :

veryerin - from my understanding the soy tricks your body into thinking your estrogen is low, so when you stop taking it (after 5 days) your estrogen is boosted and hopefully you ovulate sooner/stronger. Maybe it would work if you think your body is trying to O? It would be tricky to know the right time to start it though. Waiting for AF sucks! I am sure she will arrive for you soon!

AFM - I am having a sad day today. I just have the worst BFP envy and am feeling really bitter about my DS losing the chance to have a sibling close in age. I am having one of 'those' weeks where everyone else seems to be getting pregnant just by their DHs looking at them. I think TTC makes me a bad person

Yes, I agree that men don't really get super excited. I can't believe your DH said that, then again I could see my DH saying something similar. Yes, not a good thing to say joking or not. But we love 'em anyway hey?!!

Amyirene - to you mama, I am so sorry your babe isn't with you right now. I hope he gets the help he needs and feels better soon so you can be together again.

to you mama. I can understand how hard it is. I'm always envious of BFP's. Hang in there and TTC in no way makes you a bad person...how can it? It will happen for you. Just as i was getting despondent for the same reason things turned around. I hope they do for you too mama. Go easy on yourself.

OMG, I killed this thread with my Debbie Downer attitude. I'm sorry! Come back everyone! :

Grahnola Mum - thanks

babymonster. You didn't kill the thread.

I'm definitely envious of all the BFPs as I sit here impatiently waiting out my 2WW. I just wanna know now! *sigh*

Amyirene - hugs and I hope you get your boyo home soon.

CM question: If it is wet and fairly stretchy but not clear is it still considered ewcm or is that more the sticky variety? Not sure how to record it on my chart.

Texture is the key thing. Is it slippery? If so, it's the good stuff. It can be milky, even a little bloody. Color does not matter, only how well it helps the swimmers.

Congatulations on all the bfp's. I'm so excited for all of you. Unfortunately I won't be joining you this month. came this morning - no wonder I kept getting bfn's.

I'm disappointed but not devastated. Yes, I would love to be pg asap, especially considering how long it took for af to return. On the other hand, this was just my first cycle. I'm also relieved that I had a definite temp shift so I know I'm ovulating and my luteal phase was 15 days. Now it's just catching that egg - maybe I'll have another November baby.

Hi ladies! I just wanted to drop in to say that I'm still around. Not much to report, just waiting for a/f to pass.
AmyIrene, Blessings for your boy. Kudos to you for making this hard choice.

Grahnola Mum, so glad it went OK with your DH.

What a start to the new year this group has had! 6DPO here. Trying to stay cool...I made an apt for a really cool Mayan Uterine Massage for next month, but can only go if I'm in the follicular phase. I hope it's like bringing an umbrella so it won't rain...of course, if I do moon out, at least I have a nice massage and something to help me work towards pg as a consolation prize...

hey everyone

checking in. cd6 ...almost 7

Has anyone heard that you're not supposed to check your cp after ovulation? I just read that today, but don't know if its true

That sounds great! The doula who attended my son's birth is a Maya massage practitioner and had some really amazing things to say about it.

Never heard that. But I've totally given up on checking CP... the new shape of my cervix (after giving birth) totally baffles me.

Over here, I'm waiting for AF to clear out. And toying with the idea of avoiding this cycle, as if I get pg, the baby would be due the same week as my DS's birthday. I don't know if that sounds like a good idea... And how strange would it be to have two children born on Halloween?!

Danielle, we are cycle buddies! CD 7 here also...

Crunchy, glad to hear you have heard good things about the mayan massage. I haven't heard of anyone else doing it.
