Vaccine connection?

A dear member has pointed me toward another vax board as well, but I'd like to post here for some input as well. My son is having recurring fevers-9 in 6 months. Posting his vax and reaction chart and if anyone can see any thing that might be connected to what is currently going on or could be causing immune problems, let's hear them.

5.14.2005 hep b, dtap, polio, hib
6.18.05 pcv
mild excema
7.18.05 hep b, dtap, polio, hib
7.28-target lesions on arm/ankle for a few weeks
8.16.05 pcv
9.16.05 double ear infection, cold sympt, diarhea, fever
9.26.05 still mod ear infection
9.27.05-hep b, dtap, polio and pcv (yes vaxed even though still infection and fever within past month-I did not realize to stop them)
stopped vaxing at this point
12.29.05 pinpoint rash over body following 2 day fever
3.7.06 24hr fever
3.9.06 same rash/fever as 12.19.05
3.16.05-mild anemia detected at yrly check up
6.15.06 mild anemia lasted until right after this last bloodwork drawn up
2007-maybe a cold or 2
2008-July-
1-2 week cold/ w fever. Every 2-3 weeks recurring fever with no other sypmtoms. Counting yesterday this is 9 fevers. Has had 3 outbreaks of odd hive reactions (no allergy detected in blood test).
12.08-ear infection

The DO took a look at his most recent lab work from the other week. He has a few numbers off the chart, so the dr wants to do some tests to rule out Epstein Barr, Lyme Disease, Cat scratchfever-we have no/not around any cats though, and one I can't remember. The thing is, ds is never tired like all the mono sypmtoms I keep reading. If all these test come back negative, dr wants to do a month of abx to see if his lymphnodes go down. If not, he wasnt to do a marrow smear to rule out ALL. From all the labwork from 2006 and from just the other week-it appears ds has an immune problem. I'm looking at everything, including the vaccines he did have. I find it coincidental that he started getting sick/reactions within months of vaccines and then nothing until now. He would have also had the Vit K shot as a nb, and I know I read some where that it can cause cancer or something later on. I need to dig up some info.
So, if any of the vax's he did have could have contributed to an immune problem or something, please pm me, or post link etc. It is much appreciated. Something is just not right, at least my gut tells me so. The worst thing abou the fevers and ds's main symptom-his fevers go to 104.5, but he looks like death. Completely pale with dark circles under the eyes.

Gosh...I am so sorry you are going through this...poor things all of you! I can't imagine vaccines are not somehow connected. They do hinder/scew the immune system. In addition to the regular MD's you are seeing, I highly urge you to contact a naturopath. A month of antibiotics will only further ruin his immune system and I am willing to bet make him sicker than he already is in the long run. Natural medicine is a valuable option and I can personally say for myself and MANy others I know personally and online that we have had far better success with it than any allopathic interventions. I really wish you luck and hope you get some answers soon.

Do you know if there is treatment other than abx if he does have mono or lyme disease? Or is there something to natrually get his lymph nodes down? I'm exploring everything now. I know the dr's aren't going to admit to a connection, so I have to do any research myself and present it if there is one.

Have you had him tested for food allergies? I would do that and try boosting his immune system. I would also look into nutritional supplements to help him process the toxins that were in the vaccines.

Allergies were on the list until we got his labwork back. The Imm E did not show cause to due further testing for food allergies. I can always get a third opinion though. I've been careful about his diet and trying to give him only whole and good foods to help clean his system out. All of us actually.

There are natural options for EVERYTHING, mono and lyme yes. You should consult a naturopath. At least see what they would do or reccomend. If you decide it's not for you than that's fine, but abx are NOT the only things out there to treat mono or Lyme or anything else! They have a totally different approach to health care. They are concerned with fixing the problem, not treating the symptom. If they feel that vaccines could have contributed to what's going on, they can safely detox his system of anything that may be causing him problems.

I'm sure you can find out the root cause(s) of his symptoms, it just may take quite a bit of digging. Yes, I would check further into food allergies, consult with a DAN! doc to check for toxins and heavy metals in his system, consult with a Naturopath, etc.

You could always try eliminating common food allergens first for a while and see if that helps (especially wheat/dairy). Remember that 70% of the immune system is in the gut, so check more into that. I would NOT do the round of antibiotics unless you are absolutely sure about it, and even then I think you probably know to do a lot of probiotics.

I think there is some Vit K info in th archives, if you look at the top of the forum for the archives broken down into subject.

I hope he feels better soon!

I think I might try to find a naturopath if I can. I found the alternatives instead of abx in the way of treatment, if he does have one of those. What concerns me and in my gut too, is when the DO looked over the past labs too, he was thinking more along the lines of immune problem, just like my old ped did. My current ped...let me tell you, if we find something....she just completely kept pushing my concerns aside as a nice way of putting it. I found some things that are natural that I can give him now to help boost his immune system and hopefully lower the swelling.

By the way, mono is a virus and abx are not going to help that one. The lymph nodes swell because of the virus so once the virus is gone, that should go too. You just have to give supportive treatment and let it run its course.

I honestly don't think it's mono and will be surprised if it is. He has no sypmtoms except the fever. He is never tired, like I keep reading people with it are. I don't know why I didn't think of it, but it is a virus, so why treat with abx? I don't know why it would be listed as treatment.
The more I research, the more I do believe it's an immune problem though.
