Pfaff Hobby 541 - is this a good machine?

I have a chance to buy a Pfaff Hobby 541 for less than fifty dollars. Is this a good deal? I am brand new to sewing and need something very basic. Is the Pfaff 541 a decent machine? I am not finding anything about it online. WDYT?

ETA: I bought the machine. THe lady threw in a TON of fabric, needles, lace, elastic, pins, about 30 metal bobbin, and a bunch of presser feet (foots?) and I am TOTALLY GEEKED!

Yay! I love Pfaff!! Congrats on the new machine! If it has IDT, I would have bought it too! Especially with the extras! You can't go wrong with any working machine for $50!

Yup. I am really happy with my Pfaff Hobby. I grew up with metal innards machines, so I was a bit snobbish when it was time to retire my last one (it tried and tried but just couldn't be repaired, no matter who looked at it!)...and couldn't afford much! BUT I am completely happy with my pfaff. It runs like a dream, is easy to care for, and easy to use. Some day I will probably upgrade, but will definately keep this one around, because it's just a nice machine. Especially for fifty bucks! Wowza, you got a great deal!
