if it is that, I'm not there ,
it must be arrived on the first day of the year but it doesn't,
I did the home test and absolutely negative
I feel that is coming, I wish it comes soon or not coming ???

nummies - Good progesterone level.

poetgirl - Is your doctor waiting till Friday to give the smaller follicles time to mature? Not sure how it works when you have one really large follicle and you're on injectables. But maybe by Friday the large one will be too big but the three slightly smaller ones will be mature and a good size?

victorian patch - Sorry you're still waiting. But maybe you're pregnant and it's just not showing up on the stick? Are you taking progesterone? Can you call your clinic? BTW, the "waiting to be ready" list is of women who are taking a short break from TTC. After you start your period you are "waiting for O (ovulation)."

AFM- Got my estrodial results, 846, so my doc says there looks to be 3-4 ready follies. My doc has been doing infertility for a million years and he said he has only 2 selective reductions, 2 sets of triplets, and a boat load of twins. I can handle twins, so we are going for it. Lets see my superman sperm work!

Here's what we decided for me. My estradiol was freakin' 1100.
Something's going on in there.
So...we are triggering tomorrow night and IUI Thurs. That way the 13.5ers can hopefully get toward 18 and the 18 hopefully won't be more than 22ish. I don't actually remember how many 13ers I had. I think it was a 14, 13.5 and a 13. These scan days turn into a blur.

Nat Mom, It's my understanding that over 24 is not so hot.
The cyst looks very diff. from a follicle which is clear inside (i.e. not ruptured). This one has a streak of white across it like a comet where it looks ruptured and filled with new fluid/material.
My protocol was not very diff. from before.
First cycle 75 iu of foll. for 4 days. Trigger 5th day
Sec. cycle 50 iu foll for 3 days 75 iu for 2 days. Trigger 6th day
This cycle was 75 iu for 6 days. Trigger 7th day.
At least I'm on Lupron so I know I won't ovulate the big one early.

Poet- Even tho you are responding super early-your follies may be mature, as your estrodial is always higher. However, if you went to IVF, are you at risk of overstimulation/OHSS? Just wondering cuz my doc says he worries if the estrodial goes over 2000. I bet the IVF ladies knows this better than I. Glad you are triggering tomorrow so you can catch your big follie and some of the smaller ones too. How do you feel about multiples? Oh yeah, we will be cycle buddies too!!!

AFM- Going over to my friends in one hour for the trigger. IUI Wed morning. My doc says he will be there to do it so no evil @#$% assults me with a tenaculum!! Thanks for everyones support and feeling that this is my cycle. I kind of feel it too, which could make the disappointment that much bitter. One day at a time....

Naturalmom, This is my last clomid cycle (before IVF), and I normally only get the night sweats when I am taking the pills. I don't have too much hope for this cycle because better ones have failed in the past and I don't have ANY symptoms at all...I know I shouldn't yet, but I always have some even if they always end up being PMS symptoms.

Nummies - great progesterone!!!

Poet - I hope your "modified" plan for this cycle is successful and you have several follies at just the right size!

I decided to poas this morning. I hate just waiting for someone else to tell me after my blood test. I feel like I should really know before anyone else does. BFN. I kind of thought that as I've been crampy for the last several days. I'm going to stop the progesterone so I can just get AF over with and start the next cycle.

Thanks ladies. I know you all understand how I feel. I had a feeling things would go this way. Our timing was a little late since I was already ovulating by the time I went in for the ultrasound. And DH's numbers were not as good as they usually are. This month I will be going in a day earlier for the ultrasound so we don't have that situation again.

So, now I'm just waiting for AF. I think I'm still supposed to do the blood test on Thursday though. Should I call them and cancel that? It seems silly to go since I already know...

Thanks Nat Mom. I do think I would be at risk for OHSS. I'm going to bring it up at ivf consult. With this cycle and the first (both estradiol over 1000) I've had shortness of breath, higher blood pressure and palpitations. I have to do a lot of relaxation techniques by the end of my foll. inject. to slow down my heartbeat which I don't like. I feel like a science experiment.

SO glad you have a tenaculum-free plan! I will take it one day at a time with you from here...don't want to contribute to getting expectations up. Wishing the best for you tomorrow! We will wait together

Daisy- I am so sorry. All of this stinks. Have some wine, kick up the feet, take a deep breath, and think ahead.

Poet- I think bringing up OHSS at your consult is a good idea. It seems a bit scary you have some mild sx of fluid overload already. Did it incease after the trigger? I noticed since HCG trigger last night my ovaries are almost unbearably sore and my belly blew up like a balloon, (I don't carry extra weight, so its really noticable) I think I'll tell my doc at my IUI tomorrow.

I called the office yesterday to see if I still have to go in for the blood test tomorrow. That was a resounding yes. I guess I figured that would be the answer, but it was worth a shot!

Daisy- Why do you need a blood test??? I am confused. Can't they just wait until your period starts or doesn't start??

They always schedule a blood test for two weeks after the 2nd day IUI. I think that the doctor wants the specific results from the beta and not just a neg. from the home test. Maybe they want to know if there was a chemical or just nothing at all? And, as the nurse reminded me, the blood tests are more accurate. I think they also want folks to wait for the neg. blood test before coming off the progesterone suppositories.

I, personally, would just rather wait for AF. To go in for a blood test and then wait for that phone call when I already know it's neg. just feels like a slap in the face. But, the doctor won't proceed to the next cycle without it.

Yeah- this happened because I hyperstimulated I went for my IUI and my doc wanted a scan before he thawed my sample. I told him how I hurt. Anyhow, there were 6 ready follies. He says its too unsafe to procede. He got to see me cry. So here it the new plan. Wait for AF in 2 weeks, call on CD1, get a scan, see how many cysts are hanging around. (high chance of this because of the amount of follicles) If so BCP for 3 weeks. I called to see if I did go on progesterone (or BCP's) now, if that will decrease the chance of residual cysts later. His nurse did not think so, but will ask him this afternoon. I think I am gonna drink some wine tonight. I just want my baby.

Oh yeah, no strenous activity or DTD until AF. He says I could rupture a cyst and loose my ovary. But I did DTD last night. Oh well.

Oh no! I am so sorry naturalmom. I keep wondering why my clinic went through with my two Clomid IUIs when I had 6 follicles. It is rather risky. But, the good news is, I didn't end up with any cysts so you may be okay on that front.

DaisyMae08--I feel the same way, why go for a beta when you know already. I would tell my doc I know my body and AF is coming. Its a waste of blood, labs time, yours and docs time. I think they want to confirm for their piece of mind. Maybe they are thinking you can be one of them who test negative on a poas and maybe test positive on the beta.

I just wanted to jump in and say I'm joining you at the last minute for a January IUI as my IVF was just converted to IUI due to poor response. I was devastated on Monday at my first scan (only 3 follies) but now I figure - whatever will be will be.

BUT - I've got 3 good follies for IUI! 14, 16 & 17 mm today. Day 8 of cycle. I was on the full regimen of IVF meds since 12/31 after a month of suppression.
I trigger tomorrow AM and IUI on Friday.

Question - do you take the lupron when you trigger, or no Lupron day of trigger?

Another question- they say I don't have to do PIO shots after IUI even though I've been on Lupron because with IUI you still have your corpus luteum to make progesterone. Does this sound right? Has anyone done PIO after injectible/Lupron IUI?

Welcome Joy and Best of Luck! Last mth's ivf group had a woman in the same situation and she's preg. now! I hope it happens to you too. I'm doing Lupron with my IUI so I did the Lupron the morning of trigger and then triggered at 10 pm that night (for a 10 am IUI 36 hrs. later). I am on micro-dose lupron though so you may want to double check this with your doc. I always use prog. suppositories with my IUIs. GL!

Nat, I responded on other thread, but again, just so sad for you.

IUI for me tomorrow. After 2 clear wks, we'll be driving an hour in lake effect snow. Please wish us well, nervous about that. :
