Yes, It was an earthquake I felt this morning........

What earthquake?

I must have been sleeping heavy.

Many of you know how much I needed a good sleep last night.

Ha ha. I just clicked on the link. 9:09 am...

I think I actually woke up momentarily around that time and went back to sleep.

Maybe that was when Abigail crawled into bed with me from her mattress on the floor next to our bed (her very first time ever sleeping all night down there! I read her to sleep and waited until she was snoring before leaving her side).

I'll bet she felt it and it woke her up and that was why she climbed in bed with me.

I think we all three slept until nearly 11 AM though.

That was rather widespread! I felt and heard it quite strongly in Willow!

It was pretty strong at our house, but short with no aftershocks. I am SO glad there was no tsunami .. that I think was a clear possibility with that one..

I didn't feel a thing. But I'm okay with that. Was there much damage anywhere?

I didn't see any damage reported.. art house/s in Homer was very concerned that they would find broken glass in their shops, but only one metal object was found on the floor (not breakable).. they said that pieces had been moved around a bit, but none apparently got close enough to an edge to fall over/off..

hey, relax, if you are pg (and here's hoping!) stress is NOT going to make you feel better (nor baby)..

What did women do about this a couple of hundred years ago? I guess they just waited 9 months until the baby showed up?

yeah, I know.
Either AF will come or it wont...and if it does, that's an answer, and if it doesn't...well, I've realized that by a week from now I should be feeling sick so that should be an answer as well, right?

Hey, has anyone been by Sugar and Spice yet? They are in teh University mall near Peppercini's.. organic baby clothing, cds, baby slings.. pretty cool.

The owner said she would be glad to do a fitting for me! Yeah! I can never seem to find a sling that fits right!

VERY true.. well, except for the time that November came and went with no AF, and I wasn't pg.. (stress at work I think)

And for the fact that I haven't had AF for um... 6 months and before that probably 2 years.. yep, I have a mirena now (plus I was bfing).

If I were you, I would make the firefighter go get you some more tests.. since you are the only person in town trying to childbear, it probably is exciting for him.

Yes it was Redoubt. About 4 years ago. I was down in Juneau lobbying and all flights got shut down. Luckily we were able to get back into the hotel before all the airline crews took up all the rooms.

I haven't been around in a while but I was curious if anyone knew of any MW's or OB's that will do breech vag deliveries in the Valley or Anchorage...

I know I have time for baby to flip but I've been curious since this LO is taking so long to stay head down(my other two were head down by now and stayed there, this one keeps flipping). I've been going to the chiro weekly and do inversions if I remember...anything else I can do to help LO stay head down?

If I remember right, I thought I heard my old midwives talking about a couple of breech births. Try the ones at One Family, downtown behind the Fred Meyer on NorthernLights. I think they might have changed the name of the clinic/birthing center though.

The ones behind fred meyer and northern lights were my midwives for my pregnancy with Abigail.

One of those midwives tried and succeeded over hours to convince my husband to talk me into breaking my water. : I'd only been at the birthing center from 7 or 8 pm until just after midnight when she broke my water and sent me to Providence.

I'm sorry.

CPM's in Alaska cannot do breech births.

I believe Dr.s Owen Bell and maybe Mark Ritchie will do them. That's all I know, but I bet others will chime in.

The website spinningbabies.com is a great resource for trying to get your baby in optimal position.

Good luck!
