Please come admire my new cat!

My 14 year old cat died 5 years ago, and I have't wanted a new one. We finally broke down and got a cat for my son for Christmas--it was a total surprise! We went to the shelter on New Year's Eve and found Alice--a 3-1/2 year old former feral kitty. She has been at the shelter for 2 years now. I can't understand why--she is such a cutie and is very affectionate. She seems comfortable with us already & is queen of the house.

I don't know if I am posting the link right or not, but hopefully you can see her!

edited out bad link--this should work:

Sorry - the link takes me to photobucket but it is just a generic page.

Your new cat sounds lovely though. I'll keep checking back because I'd love to admire her!

I can't see the picture either...... but I am sooo happy for you and for the kitty. 2 years is so long to be at the shelter. How wonderful that she has a true home now.

Congratulations!

To get the link on photobucket there should be a [IMG] tag under the picture or you can just click on the picture itself it will pop up then on the right side of the screen there is a share this link [IMG] post that

The sutterfly thing isnt working either.

I fixed it for you here is the link http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...n/100_1943.jpg To put this link in your OP click the link then copy the url then put that in your OP since it isnt showing the whole thing for you to copy from this spot.

She is beautiful. I guess she must have spent 2 years at the shelter waiting for your family to find her. Congrats on your new family member!

Thanks for all the nice comments. She seems so happy here and is such a doll! She spent half the night sleeping in the top bunk with my son.

Beautiful. She looks a bit like my mom's cat - but less fluffy.

I love seeing photos of shelter animals who get homes.
