Looking for Chicken pox in PA -- will drive to you - Page 3

We might be getting it. I am in the philly suburbs. A neighbor' s kids (vaccinated!) came down with it. I went over with some lollipops to share. She thinks I am nuts! LOL Both of my guys are a little under the weather and one has what MIGHT be a blister on his back! I'll keep you posted. I welcome any MDC moms to my house if they do get it!

I'm still waiting to see if my son gets it. He had 3 lolli's & a t-shirt from a friend who had it (as an adult) and then another lolli from a MDC mama. Each was a week apart, and it will be 2 weeks this Saturday since the first batch arrived.

My husband doesn't think our son will get it b/c my hubby didn't get it until he was 19 despite numerous exposures throughout childhood, even his own sister. I really, really hope to see spots within the next week or two at the latest!

If I send you some clothes or blankies or something, can your kids mush all over them so we can try to get pox too?

Oooh, possible pox in the Philly burbs?! How thrilling!

I have a sister near Boston, and might be able to come up to MA for pox in the next couple weeks. I'll keep an eye on this thread!

If the other 2 kids follow the same incubation period, we should start seeing spots again the weekend of the 26th or so. I'll let you all know...

How about some well-used balloons and straws??! Of course it would probably have to be overnight mailed to work.

I'm pretty confident that otgirl's son will get it...baby was really contagious and they were here a good 2 hours sharing straws, balloons, melon chunks, a lollipop, cups for a "tea party", bristle blocks, etc. Ultimately chicken pox is a respiratory virus, so it's going to be airborne too and shared the same way the average cold virus is spread.

But if our visitors didn't catch it, then I'll consider sending straws, etc. from the next round in 1-2 weeks!

We have pox in NY!

I'm posting on a couple of threads just to spread the news. My son started showing spots this morning. We are in Beacon, NY, just off of 87/84, so an easy drive from PA, NYC, etc...

We were fortunate enough to get it from someone who got it from this group, so we're happy to spread the love. Come on over!

Hi, all. I'm new to this list - a friend on another list told me some of you might be happy to hear that we have chicken pox! My youngest just came out with spots today. We're between Philly and Allentown, right of the turnpike, and welcome anyone wanting exposure. Not sure how this list works but you can email me at echesla@comcast.net.
