January 09! Pagan circle - Page 3

that's it, Cari! how did you do that?

Donaldson-- of course. i read the first series. first fantasy i ever read, really, if you don't count LOTR. i was adverse to fantasy but i fell in love with the Thomas the Unbeliever books. then of course i was hooked i read all sorts of stuff now.

i just started A Son of the Circus by John Irving. i love Irving, but it's been a long time since i read him, and i don't remember if they all start out this dry. this one, the beginning is way, way long. i'm waiting for something to happen. anyone read this? is it as good as his other ones?

so many books, so little time...sigh.

I'm not quite sure lol... I usually suck at googling! I googled something like 'modern woman travels through a mirror into an alternate world' and just had to scroll through hits till I found it

Hello!!! : Goodness, I have missed everyone. I was taking a break from the computer to save my sanity. I'm not so sure it worked. But it was worth a try. Now I need to "listen" in and get caught up on everyone's lives.

This is going to be an awesome year. I can feel it. I need an awesome year too.

We've been so busy here. Dh graduated from the police academy on Friday! :cop: He's out on his first shift tonight. I'm a mix of excited and nervous, especially since he wont be home until after 2am.

Maiasaura ~ That sounds like a good plot! I'll have to see if the library here has the series.

Lioness ~ Lots of hair! My hair was about the same length... until I got 8 inches cut off last month. I love long hair but tired of the baby ripping it out.

Okay, subbing so I can keep up. Happiness for the new year! :

dang, that's some pretty hair. i wish mine would grow out. it's straight as an arrow and i perm it spiral-curly. also i now have 2-3 dreads starting. one messed up though, two got tangled together so it's really thick, then it doubled back on itself so it's really ugly i will just have to be patient till it grows longer. but my whole hair, it won't grow past like bra-strap length

cheap pearls-- it's not a series, it's only 2 books. the unbeliever ones are a whole series. they're good, though. at least the idea is

Congrats to him! I can understand your nervousness, though.

Can someone please ask Mother Nature to move the snow elsewhere? I am really tired of it.

I have been on the couch in front of the tv all day. I really need this deployment to speed up again.

Meh. Two books is a series.

I don't want snow, maybe California does. Get up and move. Put on music and shake your groove thang. That helped me during those "i hate this" moments of DH's deployment.

I did that the other day. I worked out and did laundry yesterday. I am writing my daily affirmations now and then will be starting another book.

Tomorrow will be better.

I posted this one page back but I think it may have been overlooked. So here it is again:

Ds has never been to or heard about a ritual, yet this afternoon I heard him saying "All hail to the Goddess!".

I asked him where he heard that from and he said "I just made it up."

Interesting, huh?

that's wicked cool, DOK! i did see that. maybe he heard you say something like it sometime? don't you just love when kids come up with stuff like that?
we have a small graveyard around the corner from us. sometimes we take walks in it (it's not pretty enough to do it very often-- it's rather shabby) and ds sometimes goes to some of the graves and "prays to" the occupants therein i don't know what he means by that, but whatever!

bella, send some of that snow this way please! it's been maddeningly warm and rainy here while the rest of the dang country is snowbound :

Morning Sisters.

I am still kinda blah and hoping my Tae Bo today will kick it away. I am talking to DH on yahoo right now and he will call once a phone is available. So, it might be a bit later in the afternoon before I work out.

After that I will probably continue with the evils of laundry and cleaning the litterbox. Fun times.

Just popping in. Been on vacation for 2 weeks (staycation) and will be a couple days before I unbury my inbox here at the office. Not as bad as I thought it would be, just a few over 600 emails.

Heyla all! Despite the sun today my internet is in and out. Much poo!

DoK- cute!

Bella- feel better!

For those who are tired of shivering (like me)... my brother called yesterday to tell me it's been in the -50s (F) for the past week and their pipes froze. So it could be worse! (unless you too live in interior AK, in which case there is no hope for you... sorry!).

all of our snow turned to ice! it got warm one day and melted half the snow, then it rained for hours, then it got -15 or something that night and now all we have is ice everywhere. under the ice is some snow but you have to chip through a couple of inches of ice first. nasty stuff. delayed school today and everything. I am so ready for it to start warming up!

thanks for the compliments on my hair. i have always worn it long except once 10 years ago.

i ordered some books off of amazon. every month i order some anime mag for my son (to make him feel better about helping his disabled mom with the housework) and i found 2 books real cheap. one was Jeanne Rose's Herbal body book for $5 and another herbal shampoo book for $.99. i cant remember its name. now i can have recipes to follow when making lotions and shampoos. i am so excited. i love using natural stuff.

DOK, that is cute, kids say the darnedest things

I'll have to look those books up sometime. I finished Twilight this morning.

LM, my hair was always to my waist. I cut it shoulder length about a year ago, and found I had a natural wave. I was shocked- my hair was always stick straight and very fine.

Eastern Washington doesn't *need* any more snow, we got another 2" last night. Most of it had melted last week, so now we only have 3-4" on the ground. But, I love the snow and will gladly accept any you all direct this way, LOL.
