Are all you BSG lovers ready!

I have seen one webisode. I really need to catch up. Have folks been watching them? Do they seem to make any sense?

I'm not sure I like the webisodes this time around.

I *finally* finished watching season 4.0. Wow. That's all I can say.

Who's the final cylon? I can't wait for next week!!!

I watched a couple and they were really bloody and confusing. So I have been afraid to watch more.

I am thinking I may just wait for the show to begin.

Anybody watching BSG?

Anyone interesting in talking about last night's episode. My head is still spinning.

I would love to talk about last night's episode. I'm new here, so I'm not sure how to post certain things. Can we discuss what happened without blacking out the spoilers? (I don't know how to do that.)

I love hearing other people's theories!

Ok - SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume that since the thread title was BSG 1/16/09 that I can talk about what happened last night without anyone getting mad that I ruined it for them, right I'll post a warning and scroll down just in case anyone wants to navigate away......

My dh was pissed off at this episode, but I thought it was what it needed to be - Duallia (just from a story perspective) has pretty much run her course, so it made since to me that they sacrificed her last night. I mean, really, its the most interesting thing her character has done in many seasons. lol. I thought they handled it well, good set up, the date and the pefect day then all of a sudden BOOM.

Starbuck is confounding - but I love that. I like the mystery, I just hope its not something as silly as a time traveling that explains her. But what is the deal with Leoban? He makes all these grand prophecies about Starbuck then gets freaked out and runs away when confronted? She is the harborger of death.... ok.... so there she is. Dead. Whats the problem? Who the heck are you Leoban? I just don't get you man. The scene of her burning herself - creepy and cool. Can you imagine?

I love that Ellen Tigh was the final cylon. My dh thought it was lame. What do you guys think? I am just happy it wasn't Starbuck - I didn't want an easy answer to her.

I can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks - I am so happy its back on! Finally!!!!!

I am reserving my opinions until tonight. I am still thinking about all the possibilities. There seems to be so many directions the story can go in.

I have been reading the forums on Television without pity and Sci-fi forums and people are just so full of wild, crazy and interesting theories. I will be back for more later.

And provide a spoiler reminder as well like WendyC, just in case people have not seen it yet.

Okay, spoiler alert from the 1/16/09 episode:

I was sad that Dee killed herself. She was the cheerleader. The one who talked Adama into not breaking up the fleet. She seemed to be the eternal optimist. I think they killed her off as a kind of depressing sign of things to come. I'm getting a little worried. I LIKE happy endings. This isn't going to end well, is it?

Spoiler alert for 1.23.09

Yes, this is not going to have a happy ending. Although I was glad to see Adama and the pres having a little fun. Well-deserved indeed. But they better get out of bed and get some work done. I am getting more anxious with the tension building to such a dangerous point. And WFT is Gaeta doing? My dh said the webisodes helped to explain some of his "toaster hatred" beyond that of most humans in the fleet. Some bad stuff happened to him on a trip and on New Caprica with one of the "Sharons".

So pins and needles until next Friday.

Spoiler Alert for 1/23/09

Igraine if you haven't seen the webisodes, watch them. They do explain Gaeta's craziness. Loved the exchange between him and Starbuck. Sometimes wish I could talk to people I don't like in the real world like that. I think all the preview clips they keep showing with Apollo and Starbuck and everyone else running around Galactica with guns is what's going to happen next. Before last night's episode, I thought that might be stuff from the very end. Now I think the end will involve Cavill finding them and that the BSG creators haven't even given us a peek at that yet!

Spoiler alert 1/30/09....

Painful, that was. I was so stressed out by all the craziness. I wonder if folks who have truly fought in battle found the mutiny and insanity realistic. I certainly was on the edge of my seat and all my nails are bitten off. Bastar#, Gaeta! I still have not watched the webisodes, but obviously something happened t make him such a wackjob.

And what was the Baltar comment about our little secret. Was it that Gaeta knew what Baltar was signing when those people were going to be put to death and just told Baltar to sign? Somehow really cooperating with the Cylons.... is that the "redemption" piece?

Igraine, you need to see the webisodes to make sense of what Baltar said to Gaeta. I don't want to give it away, but the webisode story makes the prison conversation make sense now to both the viewer AND to Gaeta. (Remember he kind of didn't understand what Baltar was saying - before he stabbed in the neck!)

We think Starbuck will take down Gaeta, even though Adama will probably not want her to. Also, Tigh will download. Again - a hint from the webisodes.

I will make an effort to see the webisodes before Friday. Dh said the same thing that I really need to watch.
