Rainbow Magic books - only in the UK, why so slow to be released to US?

My DD adores the rainbow magic books. She gobbles them up. She reads and re-reads them.

There are several series that have been released in the UK but not in the US. I don't understand this.

Does anyone know why these books are so slow to be released in the US?

I really, really wanted these for my DD for her birthday next month but, they're nearly impossible to find.

I swear I saw a few of the series in Barnes and Noble...maybe I'm thinking of another series...

There are some out - The Rainbow Fairies, the Jewel Fairies, the Weather Fairies, The Pet Keeper Fairies and the Fun Day Fairies.

But, there are several other series out that are only available in the UK - The Dance Fairies, the Petal Fairies, the Music Fairies, the Sporty Fairies.

I understand that they are released in the UK first but, it seems to take forever for them to finally be available in the US and I just don't understand why. They're a very popular series so I would think releasing them quickly would make sense but, like the Sporty Fairies I believe were released in the UK in April of last year and still aren't available here.

That IS strange, I agree. Perhaps write the American distribution company (which released the other titles in the series) and ask them when they expect to release the other books?

I did email them but, in the meantime, I posted in the UK Tribal area seeing if there are any UK Mamas that might be able to send the books to us (obviously, I would paypal the $ to them). They're all my DD wants for her birthday next month so I really hope I can find some.
