We night weaned a while ago and it was a good thing for us.... No big fuss or any trauma, which was really cool.

Ds is 27 months and still nursing about 3 - 4 times a day.

The other day he told me: "Tastes funny, but I L O V E your sippies!" Sippies is his special name for my breasts or nursing!

For a while now, I've only been able to express a drop or two. DD doesn't seem to mind, but I feel bad for her. Today, I wasn't able to express anything I thought I had started making colostrum but apparently I was mistaken. Hopefully soon I start making *something*!

I tried getting some out yesterday too and got nothing. DS still nurses just like normal though :

oh. the. pain.

thankfully, we only nurse once a day at this point (dd2 is now 33 months) but it literally makes me yelp and suck air. this is how my eldest was weaned as well- it just got to be too much by 6 months. (this is probably the only way i can wean guilt free, so what will i do with my next one- my last? yikes!)
