This is my first time posting in the allergy forum, so I'm going to be covering a lot of topics about our history and what we've been through; bare with me please because it will be a bit long. I thought that DD's eczema was gone, but its starting to come back.
Let me try to give some background on my health. I have been pretty healthy for the most part, except I had acne and oily skin ever since I was a pre-teen until about the summer of 2006---that was when I completed my series of liver/gallbladder flushes and that completely cured my acne 100% and it has not returned since. In 1996, I took two rounds of Tetracycline (antibiotics) and then in 2004 I took one round of Tetracycline, which doctors prescribed for my acne (my acne was pretty severe and they were recommending Accutane, but I never did that). Other than that, I took a normal amount of antibiotics as a child, nothing excessive. I was born in 1981, and I received all "recommended vaccines". I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen (birth control pill) from 2000 to 2002. I had 8 dental amalgams (mercury) in my teeth ever since I was about 6 or 7 years old and I got them all replaced with resin composites in 2004 when I went to my holistic dentist (properly trained in the amalgam removal protocol). The last time I was sick was in 2003 when I had the flu and before that it was in 1999 when I also had the flu (probably vaccine induced)---1999 was also the last vaccine I ever had. I probably have a candida yeast overgrowth. I crave chocolate, not anything sweet will do, just some kind of chocolate dessert (so I still tend to eat that most every day---except while I was pregnant: all chocolate, all sweets and desserts disgusted me so I never ate sweets throughout my pregnancy---I wish I never started eating it again after giving birth). I'm wondering if I have leaky gut, but my friend who has severe candida issues tells me that she doesn't think I have leaky gut, because I'd have the symptoms. I've been trying to follow Traditional Foods dietary guidelines since late 2006 (I'd say at least 90% of my diet is under TF standards). I've been consuming raw milk since then for the nutritional benefits and for repopulating my flora (good bacteria). I've also taken a bottle of probiotics, which I started around 2006 as well. I started eating fermented vegetables like sauerkraut a few months ago, also to repopulate my flora and for better digestion. I used to eat lots of eggs too, for the nutritional benefits.
I got pregnant in February 2007 and gave birth in November 2007 to a healthy 6 lb 13 oz girl. I did a home birth, so my DD never received any drugs, no antibiotics, no vaccines, no vitamin K shot, etc. She never received any formula and was breastfed right away after the birth and I continued to breastfeed her exclusively until day 2 when my mom convinced me that I wasn't making enough milk and that I needed to give her raw milk. She drank a few ounces of raw milk, slept for a long time and then I think my mom gave her another bottle of raw milk that evening. My milk came in on day 3, so I never gave her anything other than my breast milk since then. When she was only about a week old, we were noticing what looked like baby acne---little red dots and rashes on her face and neck area, but now we know that was the first sign of eczema/allergies. She had cradle cap when she was about 1 month old, but I took it off when she was about 2 months old and it never came back
I had to go back to work when my DD was 3 months old. Before that point, her little rashes would appear then go away, so it wasn't a big deal, but then when I went back to work, her rashes started getting worse and worse (perhaps from the stress of being separated from me). When she was 5 months old, I figured that I needed to start eliminating things from my diet. I also started to muscle test foods with a pendulum---that I found seems to be very accurate. I eliminated gluten, all dairy (even raw), eggs, tomatoes, chicken and turkey. I never ate soy, but if I did I would have eliminated that too. All those items were "No" foods according to my pendulum. I wasn't eating potatoes back then, but recently I tested potatoes and they are a "No" food too. In that 2-month time frame when I eliminated those foods, DD's eczema was worse and spreading with periods of it getting better and then coming back the next day. She had it on her cheeks, arms, chest and legs. I was also good about muscle testing foods to make sure they were okay to eat and I was eating mostly the same foods every day: plain rice, avocados, bacon, bone broths, beef, various vegetables---it was a boring diet.
Then I decided that her eczema just wasn't going to get better, so I wanted to at least add back raw milk to see if there was any apparent reaction. I didn't see any, so I continued to drink raw milk and then within a couple of weeks, her eczema started vanishing. It disappeared from her chest, then her arms, then her legs and then her cheeks. When she was 9 months old, all her eczema was gone, except for one single small patch on her thigh, which she still has today. So, she went for 3 months without any eczema and within that time frame, I re-introduced all those foods that I had been avoiding but I never went overboard on eating them. I ate eggs, gluten, some pasteurized dairy, tomatoes, some chicken, and my DD was fine, no eczema except for that little patch on her thigh.
Then, after she turned 12 months old, she got a couple dots on her cheek, which then turned into a patch of itchy eczema, which would get better off and on to the point where it was almost gone, but then it would come back. Then when she was 13 months old, this is around the holidays time when I finally did go overboard on eating forbidden foods, mostly gluten, and then I made a sweet potato casserole, which had 2 egg yolks in it and I fed that to DD for dinner and by the next morning, her previously perfect cheek sprouted eczema dots---this was a few days ago. So now, we are at the point where she has eczema on both cheeks and she's scratching. And I need to put a stop to this before it gets worse.
I muscle tested that sweet potato casserole and its a "No" food. I just did some research and I'm surprised to read that sweet potato is not in the nightshade family. Perhaps, its the egg yolks and cinnamon that are the allergenic foods, which I put in the sweet potato casserole. I tested cinnamon on its own, and I'm surprised to find that it is a "No" food too.
So now my questions are has anyone else had sweet potatoes as a "No" food? Why does my DD have eczema? There is no history of eczema in our families. Do you think I have leaky gut and/or candida, which is causing my DD's eczema? Why did her eczema disappear for 3 months straight and now its returning? I forgot to add that when her eczema was pretty bad, I think we also had dust mites because I would get itchy bites on my ankles and lower legs every night, but we sold our upholstered couch and I didn't have any bites since then. Does anyone else have a lot of success with muscle testing? To me, its amazing how seemingly accurate it is, as if there is some kind of 6th sense force that controls it, which is kind of scary since its "scientifically" unexplainable how it works. I guess, I'm just looking for any kind of input and more ideas on solving what is causing her eczema. Oh, I also forgot to add that since she was about 10 months old, she has been pooping infrequently. Like, going 3 or 4 days without pooping and within the past couple of months, only pooping every 6 or 7 days (never more than 7 days). I know that is really bad that she is constipated, however she really doesn't not eat very much solids (maybe an ounce of solids at most per day). On the plus side, usually her stools are soft. She did have some very hard stools that were difficult to pass, several weeks ago, but recently they've been soft. I can also use some help on her constipation issues because I'm clueless on what else to do to make her poop more often. Her poop is usually a yelowish/brownish/orange color and soft/mushy and it looks normal to me. Every once in a while she has green poops but its not often. I've never seen blood in any of her stools. She's never been sick yet either, except the other week, her immune system was probably fighting something and she had diarrhea for two days, had green poops and wasn't in a good mood, but then she was perfectly fine after those two days. She had eaten potatoes, the day before that happened. Shes probably sensitive to nightshades?
Here is a pic of DD's eczema patch on her cheek, taken on Christmas day. That patch is now a little worse and bigger, and she now has a few eczema dots on her other cheek too:

Not sure I disagree.
