Temps/NFP

Thread Starter
Would my temps be affected by me breastfeeding or will I still exhibit the same low temps/ovulation spike that I did before I got pregnant and started b/f?

I really don't want to go back to the diaphragm after being away for so long so prefer to use NFP IF it's truly an option.

TIA

it is my understandin/experience that it is not the breastfeeding that affects the temps but your lack of a long stretch of sleep while night nursing that makes it difficult to get an accurate temp.
because of that we were not temping but just checking cm and cervical height and that is how we conceived katara so we are trying to figure out what we are going to do as well.

Yes, your temps will be affected by breastfeeding because it affects your fertility. I found that I could tell when my fertility was getting close to returning because my temps would start to normalize a little. Otherwise, they were all over the place.
