solid foods!

Liberty is 6 months now, and I decided to offer her some solids last night since she has long exceeded all the other milestones, I roasted some acorn squash (plain, obviously) and put it on her tray, she really enjoyed it :
It was only day 1 but it looks like she is handling it ok diaperwise too!!

I just had to share that because I was SO nervous about this.....

I also have a question though, do I trial like I do for myself? Does she have to have some everyday for 4 days? I did plan on waiting a week between each new food, but with DD1 at first she only got solids every few days or whenever I thought of it, so I need to remind myself to keep giving squash to DD2 if we need to keep this up. Not a big deal of course, she'd be thrilled to have something to DO at dinnertime but for example tonight I'm going out to a movie, so now I need to figure out WHEN I'm going to feed her the squash....

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!!

Yes, I would trial exactly how you would do it for yourself- one new food per week at most, and try to have some everyday. It doesn't need to be a lot. Just cook a little extra, throw it in the fridge, and give her a fingertip full if you don't have time to sit down and eat.
