If mama and dad have allergies what are solid food intro guidelines?

I'm lactose intolerant and dh has signs of gluten intolerance (dd1 has signs of celiac's and tested positive for wheat and gluten).

dd2 is 5 months so I'm thinking ahead for starting solids. With the other two kids we introduced single ingredient fruits and veggies at 6 months, did oats at 9 months, and meats at 1 yr along with dairy and egg.

What should we do for dd2? Obviously we can't prevent some allergies or Celiac's if they are genetically predisposed but how should we introduce solids?

This will explain allergies and gut health more clearly. http://www.mothering.com/discussions...7&postcount=19

I definitely wouldn't introduce any uncooked foods and no grains until well after 6 months. And no dairy until age 2, minimum. Cooked meat would probably be one of the first foods, once baby is able to chew and swallow it safely, independently.
