Crochet bag to carry works in progress.

Anyone have any easy patterns to crochet a bag to carry around things I'm working on? It would have to be big enough to carry various skeins of yarn and a small bag of crochet notions (hooks, scissors, needles,...etc.) It would be fab if I could use leftover (what's the word-remnant?scraps?)and it could be cute as well as useful.

Maybe I'm asking too much...

I made this bag and it is so nice, really room but not bulky. Hope this helps!

If I were to make this, I would simply crochet a rectangle in the size I wanted the bottom of the bag to be, then crochet around the outside edge of the rectangle, working in the round, until the bag was as high as I wanted. Then I'd attach a couple of nice wide strips for handles.

Or you could do something like this.

To use up scrap yarn, I'd probably do stripes, working around 1-2 rows at a time and (if I had longer bits of yarn) carrying the colors up until the next repeat.

But then, I'm not a big pattern follower, especially for simple shapes.

Here's another bag that is specifically designed to use scrap yarn.
