Has anyone tried these?? I have been looking at the AIOs and the pockets... any thoughts? They look really nice but I always like to get some other reviews before I buy!!!

I'm waiting a Perfect Fit diaper that I want to try out and possibly retail.
I can update you once I have used it a bit on DD! |
They really look like awesome diapers and I really love how the velcro is covered, you know?

I got the Soft Bums Perfect Fit at the beginning of the week and it is REALLY neat! It gets SO very tiny. It fit in the palm of my hand...so cute. I even have the regular snap in soaker (not the newborn size) and it still looks like it would be an awesome fit on a newborn. I compared it to all the other one size diapers we have (Evolution, Wahmies OS with hooks and snaps, Tiny Tush Elite, BG, HH, Baby Kangas, Just Ducky/Urban Fluff). Wahmies was a close second.
My DD has only been able to wear it a couple times since we wash 2-3 days, but I loved it on her. I will have to snap some pictures next time she is in it. I love internal adjusting diapers and this one is definitely worth trying out.
The insert is still building up absorbency so I can't give an accurate opinion on that quite yet, but I love everything else so far.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I know it came unstuck on one wash. I didn't notice on the others so maybe I didn't have the laundry tabs lined up just right that one time. I am washing tonight so I will pay more attention. I hate diaper chains too, and think that is really important with one size diapers. I have a couple action shots here and here if you want to check them out.

I just ordered one, I am quite excited to see how these suit DD :-) This is my first step in going cloth! I was going to buy, like, 7 different One-Size brands to see which fit her, but then I found Soft Bums. You can actually adjust the leg elastic, which was a big selling point, since most of the reviews for other diapers have to do with poorly-fitting legs. Basically, they made one-size Soft Bums to be inifintely adjustable at the waist and legs, instead of just a few snap settings. The rise doesn't need to be snapped, either.
"PerfectFit diapers have adjustable elastic around the leg openings of the diapers, and are held in place with our Snuggers. The adjustment is as easy as tightening or loosening the opening on a sweatshirt hood, and works the same way. Just pull out the loose elastic from the small opening on the top of the diaper, find the Snuggers and move them either forward or backward to make the leg opening smaller or larger."
Here's their product info saga:

I also ordered a Wahmies pocket dipe, a Mother's Touch AIO, and some prefolds/covers, just to cover the bases. But I'm most excited about the Soft Bums!

softbums update!
So, I have been using Softbums for about 4 months now, thought I'd do an updateI haven't tried all that many types of diapers, just a few that I ordered as a "starting to CD" try-out, including wahmies pocket diaper, mommy's touch AIO, and various types of prefolds with a few brands of premium covers (imse vimse, stacinator). I was going to try a few others such as bum genius AIO, but decided to just try ones that I could reasonably buy a whole stash of.
Softbums was certainly my fave!
:Best traits:
Totally custom fit in a one-size diaper!
Great value due to re-use of covers until poopy
Fits under snug clothes
Easy to use for daycare, dads n grandma, etc
Cute! Love the color options and overall look, get lots of admiring comments
Easy to wash, no special treatment for covers
Quality velcro stays closed in the wash
No stuffing, just snap in an insert
Great poo containment, never had a blow out, even w/liquidy poo
Not as great:
limited availability of their best soaker insert, the hemp one
Fleece-top inserts can get pilly
Bamboo inserts/soakers shrink and should be stretched out periodically
You can read all about the features in-depth here:
http://www.softbums.com/pages/ProductInfo.php
I have seen some complaints of leaks for those who don't like the small size of the soaker, but this is part of what keeps the diaper trim. I have successfully used the covers with a full-on prefold, so you can use a more absorbant material if you have leak problems. With the completely adjustable elastic legs, I don't see how it could be a fit issue. Personally I just use another insert such as Loopy-Dos if I think it will be awhile before I can change her.
There is also a pocket version of the cover available.
So overall, there is room for improvement in the absorbant part of the diaper, but the covers are fantastic!
