I am so loving working with this yarn!! It is Kauni which is a special effect yarn. It gradually shifts from one color to the next complementary color as you work through the ball. So fun!!

Here is my hat. I am only about halfway done, but I can't wait to see what it looks like when it is finished. I just had to share!

So the pattern is not part of the hat design, but comes from the yarn? That is amazing! It's really beautiful.

No, the yarn shifts colors from bright blue to dark blue at the top of where I have knit so far. The flowers are a second color that will shift from a lavender/grey to a light purple as I keep knitting. It is so much fun to work with! A good friend gave me two balls of it for a Christmas gift! :
