OK now I am reacting to corn

For the past couple of months we have reduced and now are removing corn from our diet, because DS2 had a patch test showing he was highly reactive to it. Once our diet greatly reduced in corn, DS1 started showing reactions, in skin itches, face eczema, behavior. DS1 seems to be more reactive than ds2. This winter I kept on thinking my skin was really sensitive, maybe one of my sweaters was making me feel sore and itchy. Last night I had a miniscule amount of corn (I piece of suishi ginger that had rice vinegar in it with corn)All night long I was itchy, and DS1 was up all night long. I think I have finally connected more dots. I am reactive to corn. Like both of my boys, my reactions was underground. Now with only small amounts of exposures, we are all showing signs of reactions.
I am feeling good and bad. First, up until recently I have been giving my nursing son high levels of my allergic reactions in my milk regularly. No wonder he kept of getting worse.
But, now that I know I am reactive to gluten (removed since DS2 was 3 months), stone fruits (removed since this summer), corn. Maybe the inflammation in my body will finally decrease - the same for my boys. Maybe I will finally be able to lose this weight. Maybe I will start to feel better. I don't necessarily feel bad, but with the reduction of all of these foods, and the increase of supplements, I thought I should be losing weight and feeling an increase in health, and that hasn't happened.
Weight loss - I lost 60 lbs in DS2s first year. I have slowly been gaining it back for the past year. Since November (when corn was severely reduced) my weight gain has been fast. I haven't been able to figure it out. Maybe my body has had greater inflammation, since my corn allergy has surfaced.

So now I am wondering, what other allergy is underground?

If you've read this much - thanks!

I had no idea I was allergic to corn either. Developed a weird itchy spot on my face, my lady parts became inflamed (though it was from soap or condoms, turned out to be the corny ingredients in both). I was eating a lot of corn because I was trying to lose weight and ounce per ounce corn has fewer calories than wheat and many lowfat/low cal foods use corn.

After avoiding it for over 2 years, it stopped bothering me (I ate a bit while pg, only whole forms, not processed forms). I'm not having any now as a precaution for my nursling though.

I'm sorry you're reacting, too, but I hope you've found the key to better health
